I am getting phone from number 347-377-7091 and if we answered this phone they were using abusive language and say all the bad word in hindi language.

I received a call from this number and the caller left abusive messages on my phone. Looks like an Indian accent.  Said that it was from some investigation department.

They called me twice and left a message too. This is a 100% scam! I was unfortunately scammed by these guys a few months ago....they hooked me into an elaborate story where they told me i was about to get arrested. Long story short they scammed me out of a few thousand dollars by having me purchase green dot cards.
Today I did not even pickup either call. I called the police and they have taken down the phone number and will attempt to track down. I had reported the previous incident to the police

I got a phone call from this number saying they wanted to talk to me. When someone else in my house started talking to them they said there are felony charges against them! They pretended to record the conversation and asked whether we would like to protest the charges or settle without even telling what the charges were!! Total scamsters.

A person called Sam Brown (an officer he says) is repeatedly called / with scam information

Caller calls with his FAKE name and identifies himself calling from TAX Department.  This guy is SCAMMER.  Ignore any call from this phone number.  These guys have nothing better to do - some one is paying them to harrass others.

My Vonage account recorded the following:

"Hi this message in for-pap(?) team TJ Max from Max was done from the State investigation Department and the reason behind this call is to make you aware of that we have received a legal affidavit against your name and against your identity. So the very second you receive this message gimme a call back to my call back number is 3473777091. I repeat 3473777091. If you failed to return the call. I was planning-for(?) this year on your name and you will be in the legal trouble. So call back as soon as possible and notify yourself officer Max Wilson. Thank you and you have a great day."

I called that number from my cell phone, and asked for Max Wilson, but the person at the other end wanted my name and number I received the call at. When I refused, "it" (I could not tell if it was a "he" or "she"--the voice was camouflaged) hung up.

Can people impersonate law enforcement, even on the phone?

Just received a call from 347-377-7091, left a message that Steven Morgan calling from State Investigation Dept, telling me that if I don't call back then I will be in legal trouble and arrest warrent will be issued? I am reporting it to the local police.

Report this people. They are thief. I have reported the number to FBI

Just do what I did I let him have it all and told him if he was state investigator I am Fed . He put the phone down . DO government agency will ever call you.

They called and said it was private investigator calling about me.  This is a scam!!! I called the number back and yelled at the guy and told him to stop calling.  I reported the number to the police.

My mother just received a call from an Officer Ron claiming to be from the State Department.  He said that because of unpaid taxes they had opened up an investigation and that they would come to her house and arrest her and deport her unless her husband called and sorted it out.  She was in tears when she called me, I called the number and of course the call back is a recording that says "Investigations Unit", and I know that all government agencies must identify themselves.  I also know that they can't deport her - she is a US citizen.  Then I googled the number and found this website - many thanks for the information as it put my mother's mind at ease.  We've called the local police and they are sending an officer to take an official statement from my mom.  These people should be ashamed of themselves.

This morning I received a call from this number and left a message saying that Jack Robinson calling from State Investigation Dept regarding a legal case proceeding in Pennsylvania state and telling me that if I don't call back I will be in legal trouble and arrest warrent will be issued.
When I called back there was a recorded message saying State Investigation Dept. I left a voicemail for Jack Robinson, after few minutes I got call back saying Ron Davis calling and asked me for the phone no where I have received message to find the case (I knew no government agency would track cases by phone no.), then he found the case and said there are three federal charges against me, Unpaid tax dues, Lied to IRS, Refused to pay dues, If I dont resolve this soon I'll be in big legal trouble and will result to cancelling my citizenship and social security number, I said I need legal case no so I can call IRS and verify the dues, he gave me case # LNK8173 and said I'll be arrested in next 30 minutes. As I never received tax dues letters from IRS I knew this was fake, no government will file a case against you with out sending letters first.

Received call today. Suspected this to be fake. He introduced as "Officer Max". I immediately responded that "This call is being recorded. Go ahead". He did not expect that and the line went silent and he disconnected after 20 seconds.

I got a message from this number and he was officer T Morgan from State Bureau of Investigation and ask me to call him back otherwise an arrest warrant will be issued. I got similar call from San jose area for my wife twice by some other Man and Woman. When I confronted him that if it is IRS investigation why I have not received the papers in the mail. In short it is scam. No government agency will call and threaten. So do not waste your time in calling back.
After looking on this site for the same number being reported so I did not call back.

I got a call from same number and asked about my husband and told they are from State of Connecticut Crime Department!
few days before same thing happened from from other number. So a group is there who are doing this harassment .
I reported to Danbury Police.

I got the same call. it is a scam. I notified new York attorney general. just ignore the calls.

I just got a call from thgis number notifying me about some legal action + arrest warrant.
How do I get hold of NY state attorney's office?
