Got a call from this number. My family member picked up and said that they claimed to be the federal government. Don't they send letters?

SAME THING!! GOT A CALL SAYING THEY ARE THE IRS and are filing criminal charges against "John Doe".  Would not tell me what "allegations" or "criminal charges" where.  I work for attorneys and they were not interested in talking with an actual attorney! SCAMMERS!!!!

SCAM.  Trying to say they are the legal affairs department of IRS and they are filing criminal charges against me.  Asked them to talk to the attorneys I work for and they were not interested.  SCAMMERS

Garden variety IRS scam.  Ignore and block the number.  Originates in India and Pakistan.  Invest in a call blocker. I just got one this morning.  Robo caller.  "Steven Martin".

Got a message from "Carlos Warner" saying the Dept. of Legal Affairs was out to get me.  Yeah.....

Had to call back to give correct phone number. Says he was from dept of legal affairs. Thick accent, couldn't understand full message left

Scam, was called from Steve O'Conner, then called him back voice mail said Chris Walker, they must like the fast n furious

Jason Clark of the Dept of Legal Affairs left a message that we should call back in regards to a very important legal matter. Scamming for money.

Nancy something from "Dept. of Legal Affairs" called on 7/15.  Claimed that there was a legal action and I should call back.

Same thing here... got a call from "Department of Legal Affairs" and that I should call back due to legal action. Thick accent. Scam.

Same thing. A woman with a very thick accent left a voicemail stating they were from the department of legal affairs and calling about a legal action against me. They are now blocked... Very annoying!

Received call from this number stating that there was legal action filed agaibst me from the. U. S. Treaury, and that he needed to obtain some personal information from me.  I told him there was no way that I would give him personal information.  He continued to be persistent about wanting the information and told me that I would have to call 347-352-0069 and speak with Brian King, and that I must do it immediately.  I told him that I didn't have to call anyone and that I didn't believe anything he was saying.  He then hung up!!

This guy knew accurate info on real debt that I owed to the SSA!
They got me for $4800!!!!!
Please don't do what I did, even if you do owe money, HANG UP!!!! and call to report the scam.

Call came up as Unknown Caller which I don't normally pick up but I was expecting a repair person's call with an ETA. They stated they were from the US Treasury and wanted my attorney to contact them regarding legal action to be brought against me. I called back the number and someone else answered saying the same thing. Will never pick up an unknown caller number ever again!! Also, aren't 347 numbers nyc cell numbers??

An indian (I think) sounding person (male) told me he was from legal affairs from the U.S. Dept. of the Treasury and that an arrest warrant was being issued for me if I didn't cooperate and answer all of his questions. Told him I would let my lawyer contact him and he hung up on me so I decided to call back and after blocking my number from them a woman answered and I (pretending to be my lawyer) told her that I would be filing fraud charges and that the call was being traced (I was of course feeding her a line of BullSh-t). Amazing how fast she hung up! Tried to get them back on the phone again, but no answer? Watch your backs!!!
