i received several calls from this number over the course of a few days but when i answer no one speaks and i can hear the line being hung-up.

Same thing person called asking to speak with owner and stated do you want to cancel Yellow Pages. I said yes it already is he said i owed money i said i think not and he hung up tried to call him back and get nothing

Calls to cancel the yellow pages online and local directory. States we owe 499 to get the cancellation. If we don't the next 2 years will be 1K. Brad (broken english...) and the "verifier" who can speak english will not answer any questions. Just throws you back at the broken english guy. total scam...

Received call from this number to cancel my business listing that I never agreed to.  I have never requested my business to be listed.  Always wondered how people got my number and asked for the business....now I know.  Somehow they were able to list the business without my permission.  Anyway asked to cancel the listing and now they say I owe 499.99.  I told their quality control I would not pay and they hung up on me.  Someone else from the company called back and told me not to tell quality control I would not pay or they will not cancel.  Sounds like some sort of scam to me.

got a call from this number they ask for my mother (87 yrs old) they said they were with the national medical verification office.  I said she was not available and they hung up.

Same guy, but I kept telling him that he needed to call another office for the company that takes care of all the bills, he got lippy with me and told my I was making him angry.  Poor little fella. I'de kick his %$# if i could, and Im a woman.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd  wireless handset.  COSTCO & AMAZON SELL THEM.  
They work beautifully!  These phones also block “PRIVATE”, “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!
I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.
NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.  THEY CAN’T GET THROUGH!
We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

We have the call blocking phones by Panasonic - only problem is they only take 20 numbers - so what I'm having to do now is delete the first ones listed hoping they've given up by now, in order to add new numbers. Got 2 new ones today - sound like the calls from India and the yellow page scammers.  Thanks to all of you for reporting on these jokers.

He just called breathing heavy asking to eat my [***]. Telemarketing, my a$$.

just got a call from this number and sounded as if hes from india, well he asked for my boss and I told him he was not here then he says Be prepared a typhoon is heading your way and hangs up.

This company called me and said something about the yellow pages. They insisted that they had documentation of me agreeing to let them list me for free for one year, followed by a second year at $499.00. They they INSISTED that if I wanted to cancel, then I had to stay on hold and talk to Quality Control, but not to ask them any questions or they would hang up on me and I would be billed. If you do this, they will put you on hold FOREVER before the only English speaking person around (bc they're in India, though they claim its Reno, NV) will ask a bunch of questions about the bill, and ask for your name and address. I suggest you screw with them like I did and at the very least, give completely false info and waste as much of their time as possible.

called stating they were from the US government in washington and needed to update bank account information for social security, asking for the account number, my grandmother is 85 years old and he said if she didnt provide the information it would be against the law... the guy sounded chinese.

This number calls my elderly mom and tries to get her bank account numbers. Sounds like from india.

This number called me 3 times and finally I answered. A woman with India accent says that I have an invoice for 499.00 dollars for a yellow page I recalled never signing up for. She put me on hold so she can transfer me to quality control after holding for a minute I hung up. They tried calling back I did not answer. Bur when I tried calling them back I reach a non working number. If anyone get a call from this number or similar area code and you are not aware of the number it's a scam don't let them waste your time and stress for nothing.

Scam: called to cancel a "yellow directory" directory ad we never placed by an employee who was not authorized and had been gone for three years. Supposedly I had to go to a website to cancel and avoid a $1,000 invoice. They hung up when I didn't buy the scam.

Just got a call asking for the manager, from someone who no speakie English so good. Sounds like it was the guy about cancelling yellow pages but I couldn't understand him and he hung up when I asked him to repeat what he said.

I like Janet's idea of jerking them around. I did that to Rachel/Heather/Ann from Card Services. After I wasted their time on a few occasions, they stopped calling (at least for now).

They speak broken english, they use cursing words. Please do not FEED them. Let them starve..... They can't get a JOB..........

Got a call too.  347 area code?  I don't know anyone with that area code.  Go to voice mail.  Check internet for phone number.  Oh, scammer.  Save their number to my phone with the special ring tone called "silent" and their name "Jerk".  Problem solved.

Same as above.  Told was I had to authorize the cancellation before I could talk to their quality control department.  I told them I needed to see their authorization for the service before I would authorize anything.  I was told my partner by name authorized it.  Since he is severely hard of hearing I handle all of the telephone communication for such services, so he wouldn't have done it without me knowing. I was told I needed to cooperate.  Repeatedly ask he send me a copy of the authorization and was told I needed to authorize the cancellation first. I told he I needed to speak with the Supervisor before I would authorize anything and he hung up.
