- NYFUAC| 1 reply347-418-0580 , caller ID : New York Ny
hard to understand, but the message sounded like a new take on the warn out IRS scam (that is still catching people though).
Research shows it's a fairly new number, and is in Manhattan a VOIP with Peerless Network and "Owner's name hidden by Whitepages for privacy reasons " ... always smells when this is found.
Search doesn't show it coming back to a real company. - Allanp| 1 replyI just got a recorded message from someone with an Indian accent from that 347 phone number that was obviously a scam, telling me they were IRS, and I was in trouble. I called back, knowing it was phony, but I wanted to hear what they had to say. A lady, also with an Indian accent, told me they were IRS, and they were in Texas. It was a VOIP call, obviously a scam, so I hung up.
- Long IslandReceived 2 back to back calls from 347-418-0580. Couldn't really make out beginning of call in first message. But second message person said their name was something like James Catlin. Indian accent. I just erased. But it always makes your heart skip a beat even for a second.
- DanielleGot a message from an indian man saying he was from the treasury. And to contact him. Seems very strange he gave no info other than to cooperate.
- jennifer newellAbsolute scam
- dave| 2 repliesJust got a call. It's a scam. Google "james caston us treasury".
- dave replies to davejust called him back from a landline and he hung up on me after I asked him why he is scamming people.
- sbcClaimed to be the US Treasury Dept. When i said i will not give information over the phone, man said, "You may as well hang up then." So I did! Scammers.

- Mel rezo15minutes ago. Absolute scam. Has an Indian accent saying call is from us treasury and don't ignore the call. Just erased message.
- B. replies to AllanpTotal scam. Easter Asian accent claiming to be "US Treasury." YEAH RIGHT
- B.Received three messages today and yesterday. Really hard to understand but obviously a scam. The person answering has an accent and answers "U.S. Treasury." AS IF it was so easy to get through to the Treasury Department!! Ha!
I am under the impression that this US phone number then switches over to an international call center in another country some to take these calls.- Caller: "US Treasury."
- SicTheTreasuryDeptOnThemIRS scam.. I put it on the IRS scam reporting page....
If it's in India our Treasure dept. should be guiding the Indian gov. to arrest them and give them free room and board in a nice cozy US prison.
File a complaint at the IRS scam page also... - Phone NarcSame as all above. Implied I was in some sort of trouble with government branch (hard to understand accent and poor quality connection). I'll be reporting this number to my in real life cop friends. Scum bags.
- jessica replies to daveI got James Caston too, on a voicemail, then an Indian woman when I called back (I feel silly now). She told me to be "very honest with [her] right now. Who filed your tax returns in 2010?" We're past the statute of limitations for 2010.
- Lynn347-418-0580 Total Scam, my husband called him back 3 times just to play with the guy and bust his chops. The guy hung up! Maybe he'll stop trying to scam people!
- Lani347-418-0580 Just called and left a message--hard to understand--but said ignoring this phone call will lead to legal action from the US Treasury!!! Sounds like a IRS Scam to me!!!
- Caller: 347-418-0580
- Dave SIs a total scam! Same message everyone else got.
- AstridThe message was hard to understand because of the man's heavy Indian accent. He said that I should call the 347 number to avoid "having to appear before a magistrate". The IRS would never call with a threat when there had been no written communication first. What a stupid scam!
