I am recieving calls from this number saying he's is Attorney alex jamesfrom the law and investigation office. Regarding american cash he has an indian acsent. I owe nothing to this company

I received a call from Eric Foster stating that he is lawyer and I owe money on some payday loan that is in default. He needed my lawyer's number because they are filing a case against me in court.  I never received a payday loan, so I know that this is B.S.  I asked him for a physical address and he gave me "515 Broadway Street 11th floor. New York, New York 10036".  No surprise that this is a fake address!  So far I've spoken with the following individuals:

Charles Green
Christopher Berry
Eric Foster
John Smith
Kent Brown

Yes, they are all fake names.

I told them to send me documentation on my "case"...still waiting!  THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!!!!

My got the calls yesterday and now my ex-wife is getting the calls asking for my SS#. It is funny. When I do get the chace I answer the phone just to play around with them. They get so pissed off when I do that and stop calling for about a month then start back again.

I got a call from this number to.  This is BS.

My second/third call was on June 22 and 23, 2011 from John Smith (of course) from the Dept of Investigations.  He called the business where I work asking for a co-worker.  He had no answers to any questions I was asking him.  I was totally playing with him.  Then he asked if we could meet somewhere!!!!  This number is from New York!!!!  What was he going to do, jump on a plane???!!!  This is totally a prank!!!!

My first call was months ago to my home ph #.  Same caller company but different name (I since forgot his name).  I called the sheriff and she actually googled the callers ph# and told me it was fraudulent.  So, I called my phone companies and blocked the number.

They called like 6 times in a row.  I finally picked up and said "please quit calling", then I hung up.  THEY CALLED BACK! So I didn't say hello or anything, I just sat there listening and the guy is says "hello, hello"  then he said "muth-- f---er" and hung up!  Hillarious!

I recieved a call from Eric Foster saying he was an attorney with Stephen (Steven) Coleman's firm in New York.  Said I had been used as a reference for a friend and that she was going to be arrested within 72 hours (Monday morning).  Stated I was in trouble as well to which I replied, "for what."  Because I was a reference, anyone could write my name down as a reference.  I have also recieved calls from a Dale telling me he was from the U. S Marshall's office.

I received a call from the same person but from a different number. He stated the same information to me that he has done everyone else. That I owed a CashAdvance company. the number called from was 518-557-7324

The originating number was 347.338.3557.
He gave his name as Christopher Barry.
Said he was a lawyer with the Department of Law & Investigation.
He did have a strong foreign accent and was very difficult to understand.
When I attempted to obtain identifying information from him, he was cooperative only to a certain degree. He then disconnected twice from my call.
In particular, I attempted to elicite whether he worked for a private entity or a governmental entity.
Earlier in the day, he left me a voice message indicating that a friend of mine was in trouble and I was running the risk of being in trouble myself due to my friendship with her. I felt it was bizarre.
My friend indicated to me that she had received similar strange calls and assured me she was unaware of any problems that would involve me. We are good friends, but not associated in any manner whatsoever either in business or finances.
This certainly appears to be some type of scam.

I recieved a call from Eric Foster # 347-474-7041 but the return # he gave me was 347-960-0611 he said y friend had commited fraud and to give her the message to call him is this something i should be weary of? im calling my banks and reporting this to the police!!!

We are on  the no call list and have received 2 calls from this number saying that they are notifying us of a complaint and we have officially been served, have not idea what they are talking about.

This sounds like a debt collector which would make them exempt from screening against the Do Not Call list before calling. Also, a telephone call is not legal service of anything except BS, this is just a lame intimidation attempt.
