I was called by this number and they said they were the FTC and when i asked to speak to the chairman they said he doesnt work here anymore. I think its a scam

I need to no if this is scam

Okay I got a call from this number ealier this morning. My fiance & i tried to get info: here's what happened: they said i took out a loan w/cashnetusa. so we called that company. i have never taken loan out w/ this company. also gave me name of bank i used...but i never used bank they say. I'm in texas. Bank they gave me is located in oklahoma. also they say they are the ftc. fiance & i got smart & called saying okay we are going to send u a check(not really) & when we ask who to write it out to they say "leave it blank"

We asked to talk to supervisor & man(aaron thompson) says supervisor is in meeting so we ask to speak w/anyone else he says "no I'm only one you can talk to"

We are working on getting these people caught. DON'T AGREE TO PAY THEM A DIME. what legit company tells u to send them a check but leave the recipient line blank??

This is so irritating! These people keep calling from this number along with blocked numbers, a 911 number, a 000000000 number,a 11111111111 number, and all sorts of weird combinations. They are east indian which is even worse because I already have issues with them after being in Iraq. I have contacted an attorney general about it once before because I DID pay and shortly after realized what had happened. Stupid. They said they have received many complaints and looking into it but think they are using us lines calling from internet cafe soverseas.This will end-because I am so annoyed with them. I have a lot ofother "intel" if you will and working with a lot of people to uncover these idiots little scam.

This number called my work about one of my employees. Man with VERY strong accent claimed to be "Ronnie Smith with the Federal Law Investigation ?something?.
Told me the employee was in serious trouble and needed to call him at ext 402 or she would be arrested.

I called the number back and they yelled at me and said they were sending the authorities, She was "gonna be picked up". I told them to send the sherriff and ask them to verify the address, they hung up.

im only 21 years old i have a husband and a 2 month old baby boy...these ppl called me today telling me that i have a case and that i owe them thousands of dollars, and if i didnt have thousands of dollars i can just give them 800.00 and they will drop the case???  is this really a scam???

I got this call this morning and it was a computer voice maker that sound funny and make a threat about so I kida want to trace this scam by forwarding this number to my cousin works there. Attention all scammers if you can't find a job just look hard do not take a wrong road by scam people economy was already in bad shape you'll make it worse and raising the homelessness to the roof.

This message intended to S..... P...., This is officer Ronnie Smith, calling from Federal Trade Commission, and that the reasons for my calling a very series complains about your social security number and your name in 3 allegations. Very second you received my message I need you to call me on department (347)441-5990, remember don't try to disregards this message, if I don't hear from you, you and T... can't be ready in this situation force on you.
The voice sound like Hindu and the name is a white person Ronnie Smith - I called him back, then he said your case number is 9016KN0558..........................................etc
I called my loan company they told me don't give him any information's ......................etc.
I called Ronnie Smith back this time answer machine so I left him message go f..k your self with that case number and go ahead send cop's to my house or take me to court.
I keep calling him back but this time no answer machine..........etc

They called my cell and my work and told me that I took out a payday loan (which I haven't). The man Michael Williams had a very strong Middle Eastern accent transferred me to his supervisor who also had a strong accent. When I asked to speak with someone without an accent he started yelling at me saying that he was the supervisor. I asked again and he hung up on me. I highly doubt that everyone at the FTC is from the Middle East.

Had a suit filed against me for fraud and violations of a payday loan I got and never paid. Would not give me any more information but I must pay $1108 to pay the loan off. I don't own know payday loan that kind of money.

They jus calles &  said they were an officer & needed my name & asked to speak to someone that I havent been with n 5 yrs.

Do not give or send these people money. You cannot be arrested for failing to pay your bills. They called me, I work for an attorney and when they threatened to have me arrested I told them to meet me across the street at the police station, they hung up. THIS IS A SCAM, DO NOT FALL FOR IT.

I got a call from this number this morning. 03/05/2013....This heavy accident is saying the same thing.
   
He is officer Arron Thompson.....347-441-5990  ex 103 Has my name and ss. no.  says I have a loan I have  not paid...... Haven't called him back...after reading all of this ....I will not.  I am in Ohio

These people have been calling me for the last 4 days saying that they have 3 very serious charges against my name and social security # that I had taken out a loan with a company by the name of Mary Loans and that the company tried to get funds out of my bank and the account was insuficient and I was deliberately not paying them, they gave me a file case # and that if I did not contact my lawyer they would send my information to the state attorney and the judge and they would have me in jail within 4-5 days for sure.  When I asked him for the # to the loan company he said they did not want to talk to me only to them, he claimed to be a Sr. Security Officer with the Federal Trade Commission and that his name was Erin Thompson.   I contacted my lawyer and he called them and the man told him he was not a real lawyer but my lawyer put him in his place and told him that if they did not stop harrassing me he would file charged against them.

I got a call this morning from Aaron Thompson from the Federal Trade Commission nd that I needed to call him st 347-441-5990 next 103 and if I don't call then it is on me.
