- TammyReceived a call from this number from obviously someone that couldn't speak English. He works for the Department of US and I had a pending legal matter. For giggles I called back, clearly heard a call center behind him. When I refused to give him any information he became very rude and pushy. Needless to say caller blocked.
- Caller: Dept of US Treasury
- PamMy home phone was called by 347-4081394 the massage said that it was the IRS and that a crimal case is pending. No first name or last name was given of whom they are trying to get a hold of. The man spoke as if English is his second language and his choice of words did not match with the point he was trying to make.
- Caller: IRS that what they said
- DeniseReceived a message on my answering machine from this number. The man's English was horrible. All I understood was there was a criminal law suit filed against me and I needed to call him immediately or have my attorney call him immediately and if I ignored his request all he could say to me was good luck. This number will be blocked.
- LanceAdam from Internal Revenue about criminal charges filed against me. Scam.
- Caller: Wireless Phone
- TinaReceived a message to call this number with a Case Number. Second time they have called using a different number. Very broken English and told me his name was Steve Jackson. LOL Told me he had federal authorities on their way to my house to arrest me for non-payment to the IRS. I said good luck, because you had them on their way 3 months ago when you called then!! He got nasty and hung up.
Also, i think they are the same people who say they work for the computer company monitoring your anti-virus software on your computer and they need to log in to clean your computer. Don't fall for either. SCAM!!!!!!- Caller: Dept of US Treasury
- Pissed OffAnother rude IRS call with blatant threats to arrest me. I feel SO sorry for the filks falling for this, because people really do.
I recommend being just as Nasty right back!!! Less repeat calls if you use their tactics right back. ;?- Caller: IRS (fake)
- Call type: Prank
- paul347-480-1394 this is a total scam said they were from the IRS.
- yansame as other users has written...they left a message with a supposed case number for criminal investigation, very poor English spoken. Name or last name was 'Adams'. Total scam, and I am blocking this number!
- Caller: fake irs
- DeanThese people are calling from India, they call on a computer virus, infect your computer then want money to fix what they broke. Call McAfee for free if you have McAfee and McAfee fixes it for free. Then they also claim they are from the IRS extorting money from you falsely claiming a criminal case if against you and if you do not pay right now, you will be arrested in an hour. I AM A RETIRED CPA AND THIS IS NOT HOW THE IRS WORKS. IT IS A SCAM.
- Caller: con artists
- Jason| 1 replyI'm so excited to get a call from them! The last time they called it was from a 323 phone number and I called them back during a long trip I was taking. I kept them on the phone for nearly and hour and it made the time pass by really fast.
So what approach should I take when I call them back today?
1) Pretend to be a lawyer and spew gibberish case law against them?
2) Say that this new criminal charge is nothing compared to the charges I'm facing from killing and dismembering a phone solicitor?
3) Turning the call sexual and trying to pick up the (undoubtedly) male caller to be my new gay lover?
4) Being so stupid that I have him repeat everything multiple times and explain what words like "criminal" mean?
This is going to be fun! - Roe replies to JasonIf you are going to continue to call them back, you are going to need more than four approaches since now they know they have reached a live number and will either continue to call or now pass your number onto the next set of scammers since they have the upper hand and will change their spoofed numbers.
- CristinaReceived the same call claiming that there is a criminal lawsuit against us from someone with a heavy accent. Even gave a fake case#.
- PeterI called the number. Some fuzzy little foreigner calling himself "David Smith" answers. I went on the offensive and told him that I know that this is a scam. I then gave him the chance to disprove this by saying "you obviously have my address, so I demand something in writing." It was amazing how fast he hung up on me. These morons should be taken out back and beaten to within an inch of their pathetic lives.
- Caller: "The IRS"
