no idea who this is they call often leave no message and if i answer they dont answer me and hang up

Robo call scammers/marketers.  Do not answer it.  Caller ID shows as "CUSTOMER CARE" and they don't leave a message.  If you call that number a bot will answer "If you would like to be placed on our do not call list press 1" with no mention of who they are.

Keep getting calls, everyday from 347-502-2588-recorded message about federal program for utilites. Do not reply to this call, as there are no new federal programs concerning any kind of discount on utility bills.  I am in Brooklyn, NY.

Daily, I receive a call from 347 502 2588 with a recorded message of the federal govt program for utilitiy bills.  
These folks need a better life than trying to scan hard working people.

No message.  Seems that scammers are targeting NYC now for "credit assistance."  Very annoying.

Getting daily calls from this number as well as other numbers same as what other people have said. Have not listened to the entire message, very annoying. I'm in the Bronx.

I got a call from this number but I already had area code 347 blocked, so the bozo got kicked by my Call Blocker... and my phone doesn't ring when a blocked number calls.  I know only from the log file in the software that a snake called.

I live in New Jersey, btw.

Today you need a firewall on your home phone just as you do on your PC.  Without a Call Blocker you'll be feeling the pinch as these other posters do.

Any filthbag who calls you up and hangs up as soon as you answer seems to me to be a harrassment call.
Especially when they do it repeatedly all day.  Unfortunately, there is no such " Call Type " in the drop down pane so I'm calling such a ' Prank Call. "

If the FCC can't do anything about these calls, we should get a lawyer with a class action lawsuit. Starting with the FCC and going to all those harassment guys calling. I'm sure the FCC can put a trace where the calls originate from, they do that only with threatening calls, why not with harassing calls?

Yup, I get these calls two or three times a day, every day. They hang up when the answering machine picks up. Proof positive the "Do Not Call" registry works about as well as most government stuff.

These calls have started to come to me as well, in Brooklyn, NY.  I finally picked up since I was home and I told the woman that I've seen this number on my caller ID for weeks.  She claimed there is some government program to reduce my utility bill and then she kept asking for my account number.  I asked why Con Ed was not calling since she claimed this was not an offer to switch my supplier.  I refused to give my account number  and said I would deal with Con Ed directly.  I told them to take me off their call list.  If I see the number again, I will file a complaint.

Got a call from this number I answer and hang up as fast as my fingers can do it!  They didn't call yesterday now that gets me mad!  They can't even do it right!  If your going to call me call everyday! Chuck S. said  he was going to do something about this stuff but he is full of it just like the callers!  last but least I know my phone works...

O.K.  This is the deal.  They are not Con Ed, they are not National Grid.  They are a company that is trying to change who delivers your power.  Your bill will still be with Con Ed but the other guys will be part of the delivery.  They pretend that they are part of a government program.  They talk about deregulation as though it is some new government discount service.  They make you think that this has something to do with FEMA.  They make you think that you are entitled to a discount.  They are deceptive.  They are liars and it's a disgusting business.  Call Con Ed and National Grid and have them freeze your account so that they can't change your delivery service.

I get 3 calls a day from this number while I am at work and it leaves messages on my answering machine!! I was finally home when it called and I got a representative on the phone. I told her what was happening and she hung up on me!

for the past 2 weeks i have been getting calles from 347-502-2588 starting very early in the morning and throghout the day and again in the late evening. i am a caregiver to an 85 year old parent and she needs to sleep alot. she is consatntly woken by the annoying phone calls.

by the way no one says a word once you've picked up the phone. if you call the number back the machine says this number is out of order please call the operator to assist you.

i am going out of my bloody mind to try and stop these very annoying calls.

please help ASAP. please advise what can be done.

me too, for weeks. i'm as bald as the turkey we cooked last week.

You will have to shut the ringer off late at night before sleep time and just let the calls go in quietly because to get rid of them is only going to work by a phone number change and that is no sure bet as they grab numbers and work different combos to find any working number in the tri state area. I have the same situation most of the year as I have my 81 yr old Mother home most of the time and it's agitating, so that is our solution or she will never get proper rest. I am getting these calls three times a day myself now but won't even aswer it when I see it on the machine coming up.

I'm getting them like six times today in the middle of my real calls, it's maddening lol. I am thinking of just killing my home phone and that's that. It's a hassle to have a phone these days!
