Another IRS scam number claiming claiming that there is a problem with my account.  It's a recording asking to press 1.  I called the number back and an obvious Indian accented man claimed it was the US Department of Treasury.  I asked him to repeat that, he did, I laughed and told him this is scam and I know it.  He hung up.  So, we've another so-called IRS scammer trying to take advantage of people that don't have a clue...  Number blocked.  Spread the word.

No ID, no account, nothing.  SCAM.

Just received call from 347-539-4541.  Just like previous comment it is a man with an Indian accent, claiming to be with the U.S. Department of Treasury Legal Affairs.  He went as far as to give me a year that I committed tax evasion.  When I asked for a case number he of course made one up.  When I asked for a number to return the call he hesitated and gave me the number that showed up on my caller ID.  I then asked him for an extension number, which he also made up.  When I asked him where the 347 area code was located since it was not a DC number he then hung up.

Spoke w/a man from the legal affairs dept. (He would not specify for whom). Informed him someone called my number & left no message. He could not comprehend what I was telling him. He then hung up. Bk ground noise of numerous people talking on the phone.

347-539-4541 called and left a message of over 5 minutes of weird noises sounding like Darth Vader with other strange noises in the background.

347-539-4541 New York, NY number.  Same as CM above.  Weird noises and static that went on for over 3 minutes.

Exact same thing here. I did get a chance to tell them how stupid they were !!!

Called saying it was an urgent IRS matter and that I should have received some documents from the lawyers office.
Sounded like it was real urgent...I have no issues going on so I just hung up on them
