Received a similar email (see below) from the exact same Robert Barns from Ohio.  We followed up on his inquiry as we are a small business trying to grow.  He then actually started calling my company to arrange for international freight to South Africa.  He gave me a "forwarder" contact person and wanted me to prepay freight.  Ahhh-haaa!!  There's the scam.  Prepay his freight?  Come on!  Once I started talking freight terms... click!

Yep, that Robert Barns is a scam.

This same person is still at it!!! We started receiving these emails as of yesterday.  After I did not reply back to the last email, this person called me from a California #.  When you look up the # they first provide you with it is a New York number.  I wish people would just get real jobs like everyone else in the world and quit trying to scam business.

You've been warned.

I have been contacted by both Mr. Barns and Mr. Wood in close succession. Because of this site, I informed them both (if in fact they are two different people) that we would take a pass on their generous offer to buy whatever it is we are selling for a high price, and in large quantities.

They both had the same address, and the same phone number (347-565-4967), but using different names and wanting to order one thing, but when told that is not what we sell, they both wanted to buy what we in fact do sell. That is more than just a coincidence.

He's still at it! We received two separate e-mails from a "Chris Larry" (chrislarry200@gmail.com) who was interested in two different products, but then consolidated them when I suspiciously asked for a phone number. When I called the number it did not ring, and then found this.

We figured it was a scam, but thank you for confirming our suspicions and saving us time!
