Robocall about "my account" Called at 6:00 AM. Stooges have been blocked and reported.

I couldn't understand everything he said in the message on my voicemail but he said the call was intended for (first name only). I couldn't understand what agency he was pretending to be from but he said something about a criminal investigation. Since the person he was inquiring about goes through major background checks for her job and the fact that this guy (no foreign accent) could barely speak English, this is another fraud.

The robocall message said I had to call immediately about a legal matter with my account. When I called back to laugh at them, the woman with an Indo-Pakistani accent said "legal affairs department with the US treasury." I laughed and said, "That's funny." She replied, "so funny. Stupid [***]." and hung up....

Just received a phone call saying there was legal action concerning our daughter who has not lived here in 9 years. I called back and they answered as legal services of the US treasury. I asked them where they were calling from and they hung up.

Person with heavy accent called saying legal action taken against me and need to get attorney and call them back.  These peeps need to get a real job and quit wasting my time.  The poor souls who take these slugs seriously.............

Received this call at 6:09 a.m. It woke me out of a sound sleep.  Didn't recognize the number, so did not answer.  They left a message on my answerphone that the call was from the Attorney General's office and that I had an issue that had to be cleared up immediately!  B*L*O*C*K*E*D.

The caller sounded drunk, saying they were calling about legal action against Mike. Ended the  call with "have a blessed day." Bizarre and very likely a scammer of some kind

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

They left a message using my husband's first name and said he was with the U.S. Treasury.  He called right back and I answered as he was saying he was with the Treasury and I said NO YOUR NOT.  And he said I hope your prepared to be arrested!  I do not think someone with a heavy foreign accent would be calling me from the Treasury.  Glad I looked on here and verified it is just another scam.

Left a robo VM ..."That number is 347-571-9286. You must call back right now" No accent

Called at 6:22AM (WTH?!?). Automated message stating it was in regards to "legal action on my account" and a return call to the same number was to be made immediately. P*ssed me off to have my phone ring that early and not even have a live person on the other end to chew out for doing so!! X(

The IRS will never email you or call you - such contact is a scam.  I returned the call, accented woman, trying to verify who I file my taxes with and instead I asked if this call was being recorded - she hung up.

Received message saying some legal action was taking place and that I should call back or have my lawyer call back.  When I called a person with accent said they were with legal affairs with the US Treasury. I asked them again what it was about and the person said "would you let me talk" and then hung up.
