Called about someone I've never heard of obviously working off of a outdated call list

Got a call at 8:33 A.M. No message left. Isn't it illegal for telemarketers to call before 9 AM?

Asked for me under my maiden name.  Asked to call back to an 888-216-0324 number which also showed as some collection agency, gave me a reference number to use when I called back. Never left a voice mail and had called me 3 times before this call once an hour.

Called asking for me, but wouldn't verify who they were or what the purpose of the call was. Went as far as to recite the last four digits of my social security number. Even if it is a collections agency, this is very disturbing.

Don't know how they got my number  especially I don't know the person they're referring, called 4x finally I answered told them to stop calling don't know who the hell you are don't know how you got my cell ...STOP CALLING!!!

I did some more internet searches and came across the following info:

Ads for web sites that claim to be able to sue are not allowed and your post has now been reported

They call at all hours of the morning  and  night. They never  leave a message. They call multiple  times  a day

They were even harrassing me at work!

they have called my home and my cell and my husbands cell, they are looking for my neighbor. they call constantly.

Let them know they are violating the TCPA by robo-dialing your cell phones without your consent, and you will take legal action against them ($1,500 per violation) if the calls do not stop.

This is not a telemarketer, it's a collection agency. Today was the first time they called us. They called and a woman left a message telling me I need to call 887-216-0324 earlier. We called back and it's Pioneer collection agency trying to find a neighbor that no longer lives in our neighborhood. She used to babysit for us and apparently used us as a reference. They were polite, apologized and said we wouldn't receive any other calls from them.

I did go to the website you posted and they called me back 5 minutes after I gave the information. They gave me a number to call and said they will stop the calls from them to me free of charge to me.  Thank you for your help

I think its wrong that you reported their post when their trying to help people get these calls to stop. What would you suggest. I dont see you posting an answer to the problem.

my answering machine recorded the caller who seemed to know my name and referenced a call back number and reference code plus a person's name I did not recognize.

My mother with early onset dementia received a call now....this same number kept calling my house for my sister. Then my cell phone...then my 15 year old daughter.  My sister has been living in her home since 1993. I love no where near her. Just so you all know....any person listed as your possible family member on any public website you will get calls for. I have a married couple that have nothing to do with me at all but share the same maiden name as mine. If you get a call from this or any other company for someone you never heard of....their name is attached to you on some website.

Do you seriously have nothing better to do than to cruise the comment section on threads such as these and report posters? These people are trying to help each other. Maybe you need to find a new hobby.

That person was reported for advertising a lawyer.  A lawyer, by the way who probably wouldn't be able to represent most of the people in this thread because they are probably all from different states.  It also would not be a far stretch to see one of the ambulance chasers on here trying to drum up business.
