been recieving emails from a person named danny hooper  stating a personal assistant job and they will send $500 /wk for me to get there mail and forward it to them and to do errands and purchase gifts and mail it to them because they are away until sept 9th and he owns an art studio in australia

I just received the dame message andi have yet to find info on it i emailed back bit no reply yet!

I received the same message and I replied asking where he got my contact information.  He replied with a very vague response and said that he got it from some online recruit web site.  I was not sure before but now I know it is a hoax.  DELETING NOW!!!

Same email received from "Danny Hooper"... "send me your info"... I HATE SCAMS!!  What a waste of time!!  Losers!

This  is completely a fraud. I received a check today in the amount of $8780.00 and called the bank to verify and it is not a real check. Beware!!! What they are trying to do is count on you having the funds in your bank have you buy a bunch of stuff for them and then get stuck with the bill.  BEWARE!!!!

I  also received a  check  for  $8,680  Nd  deposited it  today. i  will make sure it clears for mtwo weeks  before i send him money  the checks  can be  stolen

I received an email from this person as well, and I tried doing an internet search, but the name does not come up linked to any art gallery, just some scientist in Chicago. I did email him back, and I did get a response within a day giving a lot more information about the supposed job, but I was definately suspicious. Glad I didn't give any information.

You should not have deposited it because you can be prosecuted for passing a bad check. Your bank does not know if you are an accomplice or a victim of the scammer. It's best for you to tell your bank what happened before the check bounces.

I received the same message, owns an art studio in Australia. He said he needed services because he will be out of town until October. I emailed him and he replied within a day. I have pasted the response below. I have been involved in a scam such as this before. Like the above responses, the check that I had deposited ended up not clearing and caused us a great loss in money. This has been a few years ago but definitely do NOT want to end up in the same situation this time. I wish there was a way to turn in scam artists such as these. Hope this helps!

I received the same message, wow, there is a sucker born every minute.

This is a fraud number please have this number removed from the list. I don't want to get any text or phone calls from this number..

I don't even bother .. I just sent a message back saying not interested dont text me.. He sounds stupid from the gego.. if someone wants to rip other at least be eductated... pls at this age.. you need more than that to get even my attention

Received the same text two days ago.   It definitely sounds like a scam to me.

I also received the same request about the personal assistant stating i will get 400.00 a week to shop and receive his mail and run errands. Told me he was from Australia and is on vacation in London, England and will return back to the USA on Sept 18th but yet last nights email he was returning in Oct. and wanted to meet up then to talk about the possibility of maintaing the job for future possibilities. I thought at the time of the firtst email that it was a good way to make some money but also sounded to fishy.

what happen at the bank did they blame you I just goot this check today I will not deposit this check now that I know this is a scam

I got the same as it match with all of your earlier comments here.  Thankfully God that I not give out wherabouts I live!  I only gave out my Postal Office address with my shortcut nickname!  Grins, I assume I got the same person who attacked me in about 7 years ago with different names at this time.  This person might is doing the same things!  Umm.... I do not know if any police would do anything if we all report on this person?   How can any of us be able to teach this person a biggest lesson to learn?
