This is a robo call scammer claiming that "the attorney general of your state" demands you pay your debt. Filthy scammer, don't even have the decency to scam in person these days. No names on the caller ID, just numbers.

Was told if I do not pay my Federal 2013 tax debt a federal office was coming to arrest me for a warrant they issued.

11-18-15,  I took a call from Agent "Mike Carter" who claimed to be the US Treasury Department at 2:30pm CST.  Would not discuss details but left a C/B # of (347)707-7430 Ext. 201 .  Husband then used his cell number to return the call at 2:45pm CST to this number who answered it as US Treasury.  The call had extreme static and the man on the phone was confused for the return call (Not on there scam list) since it was made by a cell phone and not our home phone.

This criminal is trying to intimidate people, probably seniors into giving up their social security numbers by threatening a lawsuit from the IRS! This idiot can't even speak English--his diction is horrible, and in St. Albans, NY. This liar says he is from the Attorney General's office and wants you to call him immediately. He stupidly leaves his phone number even though it's already on the caller i.d. When you call back on another phone, he's totally confused. Everyone, turn his number and message into the Attorney General's office so that he can be locked up.  You can look up his home address on the internet.

Called claiming I owed money to IRS. Also had 911 call to tell me they were issuing an arrest warrant. The more questions I asked them the more frustrated they got. Did not want me to hang up so I could google or call lawyer. They hung up on me as I did not give them what they wanted.

Called and left a message about a possible legal action.   Wanting insurance info. Alex Webster was the name that called. Sounded fishy. tried to call back and the number was busy. Another Red Flag.

A man by the name Mike Carter with a very heavy indian accent called looking for a family member telling me he needs to call immediately to avoid major legal issues.   It was obviously a fraudulent call.

I received a call this morning on my answering machine. The connection was not good but the caller said his name was Mike, couldn't understand last name, Dept of Legal Affairs, US Treasury. Said it was some enforcement issue. Left the number: 347-707-7430. Told me if I did not call back there would be legal ramifications. I have not returned the call.

Got the same type call but they were looking for one of my family members.  I did return the call and he answered.  I asked him for specifics but he said he would only speak to the family member he called about.  I told him there are hundreds of people with the same name so how does he know who he is calling. He said "Don't worry, we'll catch up with him" and he hung up. Glad to hear it was a scam

Got 2 calls today from this #. Threatening action from the Attorney Generals office due to credit problem.  I don't have any credit problems..they left same robo message both times. ITS A SCAM...DO NOT call them back! DO NOT give them any of your information!  Block the number on your phone!

claimed to be with u.s. Treasury and a legal emergency. ha ha. Mike Carter. I asked why he was in new York and he spouted off some address. ext 201 and my husband needed to return this call immediately. it was a time sensitive matter

Its a "robot call" from a scammer. The call tells you they are from Legal Affairs (which is a magazine company by the way) and to call 347-539-4259 right away because you have legal action against you. If you call the number out of curioisty you will be greeted by someone with a heavy accent, poor phone reception on their end and told you can pay them to avoid being arrested. The main red flag is they can ONLY accept a MoneyGram or similar type payment, of course its untraceable to who receives it.

I have also been robo-called by another number (801-656-2063) Called ID : Customer Focus with the exact same message as the 347-707-7430. That number is listed from Utah.

Long story short: Anyone requesting you pay via MoneyGram, Money Order or any method  of wiring money is a scammer. Most arent even in the US and wiring funds is the ONLY method they can get money from you without being caught. No legitimate Gov. Agency or Business will require payment as wiring being the only acceptable method of payment.

Called claiming to be from US treasury using the name Eric Foster. Tottaly bogus could hear other people in background. When questions about it he wouldn't disclose other than a legal matter since I took a message. It is a Scam!

Called to inform me of a final letter that would need to be hand delivered by a US Treasury investigator.  This letter, which I informed the caller that I did not received and he disputed the claim, indicated that I had neglected to pay taxes, willfully tried to avoid prosecution for payment of unpaid taxes, and fraud.  For these charges, a warrant for my arrest was being sworn out in Iowa, but because it hadn't yet, this caller was empowered to help me pay it off.  I also wasn't allowed to involve my CPA in this matter as it had already gone too far.  When I shared with the caller that I work with IRS and DOL for my job, and that the process he described is absolutely incorrect and in no way would the IRS ever call me to get money over the phone, he hung up.  It was fun to drag him through his spiel only to have him realize in the end he wasn't getting anywhere

Caller I.D. as "New York" and left a message. No distinguishable voice, just very garbled and distorted noises, seemingly demonic. Very likely to be signal interference or a prank call.

The caller made funny sounds ,I hung up and created call block,No more calls.

Just called at 7:38 AM!! Wants me to call back about the legal status of my account.  Whatever. I'm reporting this number. I'm in Memphis, Tennessee.

I did not pick up but they left message about "legal matter" and referenced the attorney general.  Curiously, I received the same call earlier today from 347-933-6679 on caller ID.  When I listened to the message from this call from 347-707-7430, it said to call back to the phone number from this morning.
