Someone called me with a thick accent saying they were going to press legal action, I couldn't understand what they were saying and they hung up on me when I asked for someone that speaks english.

Got the same type of call. But when this came in my caller ID said it was from 916-395-0000 but left a message that he was the police and his call back number was 347-762-0373. Press charges he said. LOL what fun this stuff is. I let voice mail pick these type of calls up.

I received a phone call at work from a Jasmine Chris that said she worked for White Case LLP and she transferred me to an Angela(the attorney) who gave me her phone number as 347-762-0373. Angela threatened me with legal action and will take me to court unless I was willing to take care of the matter. When asked what it is that I did she accused me of fraud and taking money from a company and not paying it back but would not give me anymore information than that. I told her I wanted to see proof but she told be the only way I can see it in Black and White is in court. She told me that if I didn't take care of the matter she would call my human resources and tell them I'm going to be brought up on charges of fraud. She called all departments of my job which is in a court house and kept threatening to take me to court at which time my boss took over but they didn't like that and kept hanging up on her.

Got a call from 347-762-0373. Googled the number. Got this site. Thanks for the tips. I will not answer these calls. I will file a complaint with the Attorney General's office.

Similar as everyone above. Received calls at home, work and on my cell regarding a "debt" I owed. I've received 5 of these types of calls in the last month - all from different places and all from someone of Arab decent. I've reported all of them to the FTC.

i just got a  call on my phone one was for a michael which the person call the wrong number. then a second later this same person from the same # which is 3477620373 call my phone with threathen  calls.fromsimilar to everyone else.i have reported these company to the BBB,FTC,TCM,SOCIALSECURITY OFFICE,3CREDIT BEAU.

I got exactly the same message exdcccccpt the attorney was Jasmine Chris trannnnnsferred me to, or handed the phone to was a Grg Chambers.  I googled him and the accent sure doesn't match the MN man. anyway I started asking him to spell his name and what number my attorney should contact.  He said to have him call and that something was going to happen to my SSN, I could not understand him tehn he hung up on me.  This is scary and I knopw I never got a "money card" from anybody and even if I did wouldn't they know if it was used?

Yeah I have been receiving calls for about a week and then I finally received a vmail.  So I called them back and they stated I owed money for a cash advance I took for their company and that negative stuff would happen to my credit report if I did not pay them back.  I asked them when, how much, and everything.  He would not respond and when I stated I would call my lawyer, he started to call me white trash, the N word over and over, said my mom was a [***], and all this stuff.  I was like wow.  I have reported them to the FBI, my current command, my bank, 3 credit bureaus, and the BBB.  I am not sure what else to do.  The dude knew my full SSN, my bank acct number and routing number, my address, my command's number.  the funny thing was I was in my office at the time and I put him on speaker and let my NCOIC and OIC listen to what he was saying to me.  They are african american and I am caucasian and they could not believe this dude with an arabic accent.  They told me to hang up and report him.  so that is I did.  My police department said to have the number blocked or change my number..  WHOOPY there..

The phone number 1-347-762-0373 has been calling me at home and at work non stop for months claiming they will take legal action against fee for a loan I received. I have never done any business with this company and I have not gotten any payday loan from anyone. I just reported them to the FDC and hope something will come of it.

I have asked them for over the year for paperwork for my lawyer to review, but nothing comes except more harrassment. I lost my job of over 7 years due to their constant calling.

These criminals have been calling me and my husband days and nights. They are driving me crazy to a point that I'll do anything to stop these harassment. I've found a post from this website in which the poster has some brilliant ideas to beat them in their own game. They use cheap indian monkeys to call us and we'll "ask" the general public in US to "stop" them. I wonder what will happen if I post a ads in Craiglist about giving away free big screen TV or video game with their return numbers (not the fake caller ID number!)

I received multiple phone messages on my business phone from both a female and a male with identical scripts in very broken english with thick, almost unintelligble accents.

I wasn't born yesterday--and because these people are scam artists AND irritating me when I have real work to get done--I took a few moments out of my day to screw with them.

First, I called them back and asked them if they needed directions to the memorial service or the funeral showing.  The male on the other end said "I do not understand what you saying" (very broken english, thick accent).  I then asked, "Sir, what exactly was your relationship with the deceased?  Because the memorial is open to everyone, but the viewing of the body is for family only."  He started in with "you must relay a legal message to XXXXX XXXXXX" (my name X'd out for privacy purposes).  I told him that would be very difficult, considering XXXXX XXXXXX passed away six days ago, and my job was just to direct people on how to get to the memorial service.  He stuttered a bit, then said "sorry to bother you" and hung up.

Oh no, I wasn't done there.  I am just WAAAY too creative not to get even with these idiots even more.  I then went online and filled out every "have an agent contact me" scam I could find.  I entered their name (John Jackson) and their phone number (661-532-8529) for free insurance quotes, free daily horoscopes by phone, free debt relief help, free home improvement memberships, etc.  Hopefully that will cause THEIR phone to ring off the hook with telemarketing  scum and scammers.

But wait, there's more.  I couldn't just hope they would get lots of calls, I had to make sure of it.  So I signed into Craig's List for one of the biggest cities (most populated) that I know of.  I listed an ad stating that I was in search of a payday type of loan, and for anyone in that business to call me and help me through the process.  Again, I listed his name & number.

Then I went into my "spam" folder in my email and found any email that said something to the effect of "you inherited large sums of money from Nigeria" (as an example) and responded to those emails with his name and phone number as well.

Yes, it all is a little bit evil of me, but because these guys arn't in the U.S., I really don't think that our law enforcement is going to be able to do anything about it other than stick it in a file.  If I come up with any more creative ideas to get even, I will definitely come back and post again so that you all might have some of the same fun!

i have beenr eceiving calls from this number repeatedly the past two weeks. last week he was Roy Freeman with the Financial Crimes and Investigative unit and this week he is Brandon Butler with ? Case Law Firm. I tol dhim to never call my work number or home again and he proceeded to tell me he would call me 100 times if he wanted. I told him I would be reporting him and he said to put him on hold and he would wait while I did. He then called back 3 more times and I asked him if he followed the FDC Collection guidelines to which he said Yes. I then reeled off how he was non-compliant and he hung up. So far he hasn't called back, but I;m sure he will. IDIOTS! And they are VERY rude and persistent.

I do believe I'm going to do as the post said above and post their names and number on various sites so they receive phone call after phone call.....:) Great idea!!!

I have been receiving calls at work and at home from this number claiming I owe money on a loan that I did not pay back. I never did this. They have threatned me with looseing my job and going to jail if I did not pay. They are calling non stop! I have been to the Secretary of state and the local police. No one has answeres for me on how to stop this. If any one can please advise! Thank You.

I got a call from (347)762-0373, they could hardly speak english. Funny thing is it was the same person who called earlier from (202)630-9254. They could not give me any info but were determined to get money. When I asked for the office address, they hung up on me.
