    This person also tried to purchase goods through our (UK based) business using a credit card but lost interest when we said he would need to process the payment through Paypal. He was using the same name and email address (Ron Robinson and kickstarterevents@gmail.com). This is the email footer used:

    When a purchase is made from another country (card not present) what many companies are doing is a chargeback. They put 2 small chargebacks on your card (say 15 cents, 7 cents). You then have to contact them to tell them what the amounts were. Paypal does this as well when you set up an account. Only the cardholder would be able to tell them. It's an excellent security option. A crook may have your name, card number, and 3-digit code, but that's all.
