Called me @ 3:36 P.M. CT on August 11, 2014. I didn't answer, and they left no message.

Hey Who,

I got a call from the same number phone said unknown name.

Called but left no message.  Blocked.

Called at 10:26 AM. Caller ID shows SecurityCentral.Didn't answer,left no message.
I am on the Do Not Call List. The calls keep on comming.

Received a call showing the entity below as spelled, didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Calls and leaves no message.  Pressed some numbers when they called again this morning when I answered and a guy said, "James, how can I help you today?"  I started to explain that someone kept calling from this number and they hung up as soon as I said, "someone keeps calling from this number and I have requested them not to...."  Scam call...don't answer.  I called back again and an automated voice told me to press "1" to be removed...have done that the last 10 times.

The message they left said "in an effort to.." and then it cut off.  

SEcurity Centrel.I did not answer =they left NO message. I am on the Federal and Florida State DNC but it does no good!!!

Short educational post, suitable for people with short attention spans:

The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.

The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.

The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and scam telemarketing callers!

Remember, the FCC's Do Not Call site is a good one to report unwanted calls from LEGITIMATE telemarketers.   To report spammers and scammers, visit the FTC site, at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

No Message

No name on caller ID.   It was a robo call wanting to give me a free home security system if I would let them place a sign in the yard.  I didn't finish listening to the call before hanging up.

Noted a charge on CC for 4.99 after similar call last week. Particular card was involved in both recent major retailer breach.  Seems they are checking for someone live on the # you have for the card. Figure no one will notice small amounts per individual. But times 1000? Problem is I know elders that will gladly talk away. Scams also finance the terrorist networks. SO DO NOT answer the phone for numbers you don't recognize and Review your Telephone Bill and credit card bills closely

Unknown name and number!  You'd think that somewhere along the line that these people would get as tired of trying to call as we do of "ignoring, then reporting" all of these spam, robo, telemarketing type calls!  Ain't gonna happen in MY lifetime, though!

Scammers posing as Security Central which is a local alarm monitoring company here in NC.  The tip-off was area code on the caller-id, 347, which is in New York.  Left no message, exactly like the other scammers.  I certainly wish the law could track these scumbags down and put them away for good.

The Do Not Call List and FCC are about as worthless as all of the other government agencies.  Funny that our government has the capability of spying on any landline or cellular line they want, but they can't track down the a$$hole telemarketers and scammers who bother people each and every day.  I PAY for my phone lines and should have a right to determine WHO calls me and WHEN!  This includes all of the charities, police organizations, research companies and politician!
