They called trying to scam me for money saying i owed a company money.

Yup! Getting the same calls. Any suggestions what we should do next? And is it "Paul Phoenix" calling you? (Bad accent too, can barely hear him)

i keep getting calls from this number too, and the guys name is Shawn, but couldnt understand his last name, has a horrible accent

Received a call looking for my step-daughter who has never lived here and is 1000 miles away.

Said it was "urgent but nothing bad".

She's in the midst of filing for divorce so who knows how it may be connected?

But NYC is at the opposite end of the state from her.

Also received a call from a "Paul Phoenix" asking to call him immediately in regards to a legal matter. can someone suggest what to do in this situation?

Remember rule #1- admit nothing to them & ask for it in writing. Don't ever give them your address, SS#, Credit card #, etc.

I received a call at our corporate headquaters about an employee and they said they were going to file a lawsuit against him, or us or whomever!  they would give no particulars.  the caller was named "Eric Stuart" and he had a thick accent (from India).  I called the number back and he answered the phone "this is Eric".  I asked him what the name of the company was and he said "this is the legal processing division of Cosbi and Associates, what is your document number?"  I tried to get a more accurate spelling of the business name and he got annoyed with me.  I asked him if this was, in fact, a law firm. His answer was that they were the legal processing department.  So I take that as a "NO."  This guy had asked me for my name and title in a previous call, but would not tell me what the call was in regards to!

It is likely a scam.  the phone number is 1-347-815-6129, ext. 20122.  I did not ask for the extension, just dialed the number.  He answered and didn't know which schtick to break into because the call came in on the main line.

Please look into this.  I do not have time to deal with this stuff here at work.

yes i recived a call from this number as well said his name was jonh cooper and was from fraud faincal dept in springfield,ny wanted me to fax a paper back he  sent to my email with my information . said i had to sent a money gram to a person named robert dicks in texAS

Keep recieving phone calls from this number saying I owe them money which I did not get any money from anyone in december and saying I fraud them if any thing they are trying to fraud me The person who calls is of foreign accident .

This company, whoever they are, keeps calling me at my work number every 20 seconds.  I tried talking to a Shawn Miller, which I am sure is not his real name.  Hostile and extremely rude.  My HR Department tried to talk to him and again rude.  I am in the middle of a bankruptcy and believe this company is a fraudulent one that is trying to make money out of people misery.

A John Cooper Said he was w/ Department of Justice Law Firm. Told Me i had a Cash Advance in Feb. 2011. I've had no loans in for years. He said it was a $300 But Now it's $1,789.00. and if i pay $400 today it would be paid in full. He is A Foreinger with bad English, I told him he was fraud & iI was reporting him to the Police, & that got him mad and started Threating me  . I main concern is he has all of my personal info!!!!  What can i do about this? Should i report it to police? i've got a few calls from this # This is the first timei'veanswered it. Any help you can give me Plz. let me know what i can do about this? He will not stop calling me.

This man Shawn Miller kept calling my job asking for me. He wouldnt stop calling even after I spoke with him the previous day. He called me job at least 60 times today back to back. I would hang on him and he would call right back. He is claiming I owe money for a pay day advanced for which I dont. He also has a very bad accent and is very rude. He wouldnt give me any information I asked him for or let me speak to his supervisor. He even threaten me. This has got to be a scam because any real debt collector you inform that you cant take personal calls at work would stop calling and not continue to call and harass you!

I received a call (voice-mail) from John Cooper.  He said that he was from the Department of Justice and Legal Services.  They were going to file against my name and social security number and needed the name of my lawyer so they could file in the court house.    What do I do next?

His name is Oscar Di franco he said he was in syria dyncorp no way. He is from spain, he lives in NY  I sent him $2611.00  to leave syria and go to germany and get medical checkup and he is still there and was sending me yahoo msngrs  and all the love stuff then up until now I have not heard from him at all. dont take his calls.  I checked the website he is on 73 different websites.

i received 2 phone calls and 1 to my employer from a guy with a indian accent that told me i was going to be terminated from my job because of some mess going on in new york that i was in and i have never been to new york. when he called back a 2nd time my son answered and told him the same thing and stated that i had never been to new york hthe guy (same guy) told my son "i know shes never been to new york but she will have to face legal charges" this is a scam because the guy called 2 times with the same message and didnt realize that he was even giving out info about call that proved it was a scam. And yes he got very irritated after a while too. dont give any info out.The guy said it was from a law firm could only catch the last name of firm bernstein.
