I'm on the do not call registry and when I called back, they say call cannot be completed.

I don't think the do not call registry works much anymore these days. I registered all my phones and these telemarketers and spammers still end up calling. Report them to the FCC:

I selected the following:
1. Telemarketing, Prerecorded Messages and Do-Not-Call
2. Prerecorded messages received on your home telephone

Then fill in as much information as you can.

Carpet cleaning upholstery [***], automated message robocall, on the do not call list, these idiots still called.

Also offered carpet or upholstery cleaning. I pressed 0 and a female asked me if I wanted my carpet or upholstery cleaned. I said first I want to know what company I would be dealing with and she hung up!
So, not only do they ignore the do not call registry they apparently won't tell someone who is polite and maybe would be a customer ( yeah right!) who they are!!

These people are so dangerous. The fact that they establish spoof numbers and just allow their automated system to just randomly dial numbers all day is very very scary. The government and the phone companies really should do more to control this. In the meantime if you add the number to the do not call registry it will block the potential of future calls, only problems is that they probably have 100 numbers that they call from and since the numbers are spoofed it may take months to block every number that they may call from. [***]!!

Yep, just called me, when I pressed 0, and told them that they violated the do not call they told me to F off and hung up

The 347 area code is NYC outside Manhattan.  To my New Yorker ears, it sounds like a heavy Brooklyn accent (it's a female answering).  Maybe that will help locate these idiots.  In the meantime, I managed to get in "I don't have any carpets" before she hung up.  And yeah, between the loopholes the politicians put in and the robocallers who don't give a rat's you--know-what about laws, the Do Not Call registry is a big, fat joke -- only no one's laughing.  So every time you get a robocall, send the number to your congressional reps and your senators.  Maybe if we annoy THEM enough they'll do something effective for once.

Thanks to the information here, we did not bother to answer this call...but heads up...they have surfaced again...and yes, our number is registered with Do Not Call.  
Why would a legit business make calls and the name part or caller ID it come up as, "Not Available"?  When we see incoming calls from callers who are 'Not available" we are definitely NOT available!

Carpet cleaning company trying to sell their services. They are very annoying. They have been calling me every other day. I told them that I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST and they quickly hang up. Their calls don't stop. I'm going to report them to the FCC.

Same issue: A carpet cleaning company calls. It says do you want your carpet cleaned, is so hang on.  A few seconds later a female answers. I say I am on the Do not Call Registry and she hung up.

We are registered with do not call list and still they get through, this 9 a.m. upholstery and carpet cleaning solicitation really urked me, pressed zero and a witch hung up on me, creeps, I THOUGHT THE SENATORS AND CONGRESS WERE GOING TO MAKE THESE CALLS ILLEGAL AND ALSO WERE GOING TO STOP SPOOFING AND MAKE THAT SUPER ILLEGAL, STUPID COUNTRY AND STUPID GOVERNMENT NOT DOING WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO!

I got a call today. Same recorded message about carpet cleaning and to press "0" if interested. I played along long enough to get the woman to tell me the name of the company, it's NY Carpet Cleaning and they are located in Jamaica Queens. I don't know if she was telling the truth but I figured I would try anyway. I searched the name on Google and didn't come up with anything.

I received a call today from (347) 903-2561.  When I told the woman that I was on the Do Not Call  Registry and asked to be taken off of their list, she hung up on me.

Robot call from carpet cleaning. "hit 0 to talk to a rep". This was picked up by my v-mail...

Last call we rec'd from this number was in September... we didn't answer then and we didn't answer now... guessing we won't hear from them for another 6 to 7 months...  
We are on the Do Not Call list, but obviously this means nothing....

Unsolicited call at 10:25 am this morning. I push 0 until a female came on to ask if I need my carpet clean.
I then use my whistle to blow into the phone until she tried to hang up the phone.  Get to have fun with this scammer.
