legal action from US Treasury Dept      Dexter

Got a call from "Gavin Dexter" from the Department of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury Department looking for my husband about an urgent lawsuit that has been filed against him.  Would not give me any information.  From phone number 347-903-3933

Call from officer Steven Smith.  Saying Filed taxes in 2012 incorrectly.  Fraud!!!

Got a call from Danny bishop saying I my be up in a legal mess and i should have my attorney call if I am to busy to call.

Thanks, guys ... I'm very glad to see this number listed here as Aroop here had me going for a minute due to recent events locally! "Officer Sean Williams" (more like Aroop Gupta) just called threatening legal action from the government ... and then called back after I eventually hung up after several official-sounding threats. I'd be interested to find the bottom line as to what they are asking for (payments, account no's, ID, etc).

Just got off the phone with our local sheriff, MI Attorney General and US Treasury Fraud departments.  These clowns are being investigated at the federal level and have been at it for months at different numbers.  Visit tigta.gov to file a report ... or ... go ahead and pay them your back taxes and fines and get on their "CHUMP" list!.

Message on phone at home for me to call the number urgent I called and was told u owed IRS and I was going to be arrested in two days and 6 months in jail. But I think he didn't like when I said that I have installament agreement with IRS and he continue saying that the police will pick me up in two days and even related my address OMG they need to be locked up..oh he also said he was a police officer Stevem Torres

Got a call from James H from this number. I hung up on him after threatening me with going to jail and other things. He didn't call back. I filed a report with TIGTA and the IRS.

woman left two messages on my answering machine asking that I call this number concerning a legal issue. Ain't going to happen. I also had two calls on my cell from someone with a middle eastern accent claiming they were with the IRS. Look folks, if the IRS is after you, they have your address and will send you an official letter stating exactly what the issue is, a contact person and a verifiable number.

Got a call from a voice mail message from a perky sounding chic stating that I needed to call her back "Right now" concerning a legal issue that requires my immediate attention.  It smelled strongly of a scam.   Not even going to bother returning that phone call.

Ridiculous accusations of a legal issue that needs to be resolved NOW! Somewhat threatening tone to it.
Fraud.....

I rec'd a call this morning from an unknown number so I didn't answer the phone.  The "caller" left a v-mail message, but it was an automated message stating that I needed to call the number provided back "right now" concerning a legal issue that requires immediate attention.  Didn't provide a persons name nor a company name.

I should have also mentioned (in my earlier comment) that the number I was given to call back (347-903-3933) was not the number on my caller id (347-664-9912).
