I have gotten calls also like this in the past from different people. Last company was someone from Crime Prevention and now it is from the PCS place. I have not answered any of their calls, but they have left me several messages. They seem to only call me once a day, but they call me every single day!! It's getting real annoying!! How can we stop this from happening?? How do they get our information and phone numbers and etc....??

I just received a message from someone I work with stating that I received and important call from Brand Hawkins from PCS. I don't trust anyone with a phone number that I don't recognize. Therefore I always google the number. And I'm glad I do, because I'm finding out these numbers are from someone who is wanting to scam you. These people are unbelievable and obviously have no concern about what they are trying to do by scaming people out of their hard earned money. I don't know how he got any information on me because I don't do payday loans on line. I've done them in the town I live in, but never online. I'm not even going to give him the time of day and return his call. I have a lawyer and I will have him call him instead.

They are getting your info from Payday loans applications you have done online or in person. Somehow they have gotten into the Payday account system and have your info- work number, social security #, address, references, etc. DO NOT give them one cent. It is a scam. You can not be arrested for a debt, and any legit company knows it is illegal to threaten you with jail and certainly threats of bodily injury are illegal. Do not let them bully you or scare you. My advice would be to give them the number of your State Attorney's office and tell them to direct all future contact with your State's Attorney. Don't let them bully you!

We are very sorry that you have been a victim of this fraud, and we are asking for your assistance in helping track down the fraudsters. CashNetUSA along with many other lenders have been targeted by several unknown and illegal organizations that are making fraudulent debt collections calls and referencing our company’s name.

    Recognizing Fraudulent Collectors

A collector may be fraudulent if:

    • You have never received a loan from CashNetUSA or any of its affiliates.
    • You received a loan from us, but paid it back in full.
    • The caller is unwilling to provide payment history information or proof of a loan agreement.
    • The caller threatens violence or uses foul language.
    • The caller threatens arrest or other criminal action or claims they are members of law enforcement including police officers or FBI agents.
    • The caller has a strong foreign accent and/or speaks English poorly.

If you Receive a Fraudulent Collector Call

    • Please be aware that the fraudulent collectors may have a lot of real information about you.
    • Do not give out or confirm any personal information to the callers unless they are able to prove they are legitimate by providing you with loan contract or payment history information.
    • Always ask the collector for a call back number. Keep in mind that the fraudsters often provide fake numbers, so there is no need to call them back.
    • Tell them that you will not to make any payments or give out any personal information unless the details of the original loan can be confirmed.
    • It is OK to hang up on abusive or threatening debt collectors.
    • Unfortunately, because we are in no way associated with these companies, we are unable to stop them from making the calls.

    FILE A REPORT IMMEDIATELY!

We will take the information you provide and work with law enforcement to track down these fraudsters. • If you are a current or former CashNetUSA customer or have never taken out a loan with CashNetUSA or any of its affiliates, please call us at 866-254-3581 to file an incident report.

I got a call from these people because a friend put me down as a reference.  He was very rude and at the end when I asked him not to call my cell phone again (at the end of the conversation) he said that I would be arrested too because my friend failed to pay her debts(which is bogus) simply because she put me down as a reference!!!

He said his name was Mike Thompson and his number 347-960-0617.

    stolen
I was called by a man who claims he was from PCS (Public Consolidation Services) and left a message regarding my ssn was being stolen, and to call back  347 960 0617, Which I did once I listed to my voicemail, once I called there was on hold music, and then it went to a man with a very heavy accent just stating" can I help you" I stated that I received a phone call from this number, and that I was return a call about what it was about, I stated my frist and last name, and the man on the other line asked me if I was currently still employed at one of my old, jobs and I stated no, then asked me if I knew two individuals and one I did " Missy Kittle," which was odd. The man also asked asked if the last three digets of my SSN was 3680, and I asked the man how he was receiving this information, he then stated that I was being sued for a payday loan of 300.00 and that I needed to pay, I inform the man, that I have never taken out a pay day loan, and was not aware of what he was talking about, he then again stated that I good out a pay day loan, and that I needed to pay. I again stated I was unware of a pay day loan, and he then stated " have a good day, and hung up. I was baffled and spoke to co workers about the converstaion that I had just had with the man, and had another co worker listen to the voicemail that was left. Later that same evening ( may 8th 2012) I called my friend that the man had stated when I talked to him, and asked her if she received and information about me from the phone number, she then stated now, but wanted to phone number to see how they got her information, and how they got her information. So we got off the phone, and she called and spoke to them, and they stated that I ( kendra) was refusing to pay, and that she was going to be supenia in court, and that she needed to get a laywer, and then hung up on her when she asked about her information.  while she was on the phone with them, I also had call back, because I wanted to know more information about how they got my information. A man had answered stating " how can I help you." I iformed that man that I called ealier today (may 8th 2012) and wanted to know more information regarding why they were calling. He then asked for my name, but he kept pronouncing my name as sandra, and not kendra, I repeated serveral times how to spell my last name. I was then asked for my phone number which I refused to give, and he placed me on hold, and then another man came on the phone saying just hello. I then said hello I was on hold with another man, and he stated his name was jordon, and stated to yell at me, because he spoke to me earlier that day, and I claimed I knew nothing about this loan, and how I needed to get my information straight before calling and asking them questions. I tried several times to interupt the man, but he then again hung up on me. After I was hung up on. I called and spoke with my friend (missy kittle) about her experiance with them, which she had stated I was refusing to pay. We both started investigating the phone number and company online, and found serveral others have had this same issue. I immidatly called me local police department, and started issuing this complaint.

I received a call from someone today who wanted to speak with a lawyer regarding the same incident as the person above complained of.  The person provided me with the contact number he was called by, he was given the same line that there was a payday loan taken out and he owed the funds back.  He also was told that the State Police would be involved.  I then contacted this company on this mans behalf only to discover that they refused to provide me with the name of their business.  Then the person asked me who had called them, I simply said I can't understand you people so I have no clue, but I need the name of your business, again he refused this time telling me that they don't talk to strangers.  I believe this to be a hoax and want to spread word of this like wild fire, I feel for anyone who gets taken by these monsters!
