Whoa.  This one was pretty scary.  They're going to list me with search engines unless I press numbers to opt out ...?!?!?!?!?  No way would I press numbers, but does somebody think I just accepted some kind of deal?  Whoa.  Might have to report this to the AG's office, too.

I haven't picked up because I don't recognize the number, but they've been calling every day. Thank you, Caller ID!

I received a call from this number. I have a company with an online presents, so it makes since that they would ask about search engines. Thanks for posting J.

My number is a Los Angeles 818 number.

I received 2 calls claiming to be from Google online directory:

On July 26, 2010 at 8:55 pm, I received a call with a recorded message from 347-982-0051. The
recorded message said to press ## (some number) to have our business number included in Google's
online directory. I hung up..

On Aug. 6, 2010 at 2:09 pm, I received another Google "online directory" call, and I hung up on it
again. It was the same number calling.

I don't care weather it's Google or not. It's a violation of TSR (Telemarketing Sales Rule) which
came into effect on Sept. 1, 2009 from the FTC. If you receive a recorded message** (commonly
called a "robo-call") you can report them. (Please see exclusions below).


** There are some recorded messages which are excluded (allowed), such as your flight is delayed,
or your refrigerator delivery is at 3pm, etc. Non-profit type calls might be excluded as well.
Please check the FTC site for further information.

I happend to answer and no one was there / probably a machine.

Called last night at 9:45 pm and then again this afternoon. I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message.

Robocall pitching Google listings. No doubt the same losers who tried the same crap with "Google 411", Google hopefully made them cease & desist from that name. Robocalls are now Illegal since February so they are no doubt off-shore (G-411 was definitely India and my guess is Photon Infotech... scammers still).
I only get maybe one call a day 2, 3 days in a row and I never answer. May their genitals and bank accounts shrivel to nothing!

Call came in at 1:50 p.m.  My caller I.D. shows it originated from New York, NY.  I did answer, but after three 'hellos' the caller disconnected.  I won't answer again.  Pricks.
