I applied for a loan on a couple websites online and was denied all of them. The next day I received numerous repeated calls from this number and others, always the same man and voice, which sounds of indian descent, claiming to be able to get me up to 7000$ in loans. Even after repeatedly telling him that all my loan attempts were denied and that this must be a scam or spam, he was audibly relentless in convincing me that he had already phoned my bank, had my application, and that cancelling the process would be $500. That's when I turned off my phone. Nothing has happened regarding my account.

Lesson: Do not apply for loans online, always try locally and at your bank. Your information is passed off to several loan companies that may or may not be legit and will use insufferably annoying tactics to get your attention and scare you. They will not listen to reason or anger. Just don't answer the phone.

It appears to be a scam operation. Just so you know, advance fee loans are illegal period and in some states, payday loans are illegal.  If they ask for advance fee and want you pay ala green dot or similar untraceable cards, run, don't walk, away!

    Giving it back to them
This is the same outfit that calls me every month until I call them out on their scam.

In February, I posted their number on an adult BDSM chat site -- after writing a pretty filthy profile; I can't IMAGINE what kind of calls when to that guy (he was a particular breed of a*hole; in March, someone called saying his name was "Justin" so I posted his number on a Justin Beiber fansite.  :::giggling:::

Both numbers were (and still are) disconnected.  Gonna have to do it with this idiot too.

I received a call from this number an answered. The rep said his name was James Parker and I was approved for a loan. They had my information and I went through all the steps to verify my info. I was told I had to go put $300 cash on some kind of money receipt card and they would call to verify some of the numbers. I questioned this, because you can't verify a full balance on "some numbers." I told them that usually with loans, you can conference in your bank and they can verify your account balance, which I felt more comfortable doing and they could verify in minutes. We went back and forth, and they were pushing me to get this $300 card thing. I then was transfered to a "manager" who argued with me and hung up a few times. I told him if he was a manager, then he could override the procedure, call my bank with me and send the money right there so I could track what was happening. The loan office called me back after his manager hung up trying to smooth the situation. He told me he would be on the phone the entire time for the transfer. My reply was, "you can hang up on me at anytime. If I am making the decision to take $300 out of my account and put it on some money receipt on my own accord, then you take that money and ignore my trying to get in touch with you, I may never see that money back."

The fact that they wouldn't even do a call with the bank or view my account leads me to believe that they were trying to scam me to get that $300 out of my account and in their hands.

I just received a call from this number, left a voicemail.  Caller ID said this was from New York and I am in Illinois.  The man said his name was Peter Johnson (Indian accent) and that he was an IRS officer with the criminal investigation dept of the IRS and works in the legal department and that it is time sensitive that we return his call.  Very strange call, though it wasn't about a "loan" I thought I'd post anyway.
