Tax evasion scam. Here's the message left (or at least as close as the voice recognition program could make out of the guy's accent):
"You or your retained attorney of record to return the call the issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. And very urgent. We have received a legal application against your name regarding a tax for jackson wish you know before things get worse and the fourth thing is Get Auto Finance do call us back immediately. The number where you can reach is that is (352) 458-5533? Again that number is (352) 458-5533 do not disregard this message and do return the call if I do not hear from you or from your attorney either the only thing I can do is wish you a good luck as this situation unfolds on you once again this is an automated message from ... you always do call us back once you read this message. Thank you and have a good day. Bye."

Bogus, threatening call from illegitimate entity.  If the IRS actually needed to communicate with you, they know how to do it.  And it ain't like this.

He doesn't identify himself.  He doesn't identify you by name.  His English is incorrect.  Do not call this number back!

Please don't be afraid of this jack hole.  He doesn't know you or much of anything about you except your phone number and possibly the name(s) attached to that number, which is available to anyone online.  Block the number.  If you don't have caller ID from your phone service provider, get it. Then get a call blocker with high capacity or a phone with at least a capacity to block 250 numbers.  (Only took a year to fill mine up with 250 #'s)  The piece of sewage that left this message does not exist unless you let him.  It's a scam to get your precious private information.  Let's shut these pimples down...

Finally installed my CPR Call Blocker I bought from Amazon at the outlet nearest to the landline coming into the house.  Entered all the toll-free prefixes to be blocked.  Any calls from 800, 855, etc are now blocked.  Any legitimate company that really needs to get hold of me has the ability to use their local area code.  So today, after the third time these miserable folks called our number from a 202 area code (Wash DC) I touched the red "call block" button on the CPR device.  Blocked.  Had they not called back, I could have dialed the three digit code on my phone to enter a number into the CPR, then entered 202-653-6985 followed by the # sign, and blocked any further calls from these scammers.  I bought this device over a year ago, it blocks 1,000 numbers.  Newer models may block more.  I didn't start using the CPR until I'd filled up my Panasonic TGA680 phone with its 250 blocked call capacity.  You must have the Caller ID feature from your phone service provider to use the CPR Call Blocker or the Panasonic phone call block feature.  No I don't work for any of the entities/products I'm grateful for.  Call blocking is a blessing you need to take action on so you can regain peace and quiet in your home.

The big secret is that the phone service providers have the ability to stop these spoofed numbers but fail to do so because they generate revenue.  It is absolutely criminal.

The "Windows" computer fixers are not calling from Washington DC, they've "spoofed" that caller ID.  They're calling from India or Portland or any other city/country on the planet.

Do not call these people back to get off their list.  You will be inundated with calls.  By calling one of these scammer/spoofed numbers back you have made your phone number a gold target, you're on their list and they will sell your number to other criminal enterprises.

The US Federal Do Not Call list has nothing to do with these calls.  These are criminals trying to access your personal data to steal from you.  Legitimate companies doing business in the US abide by the DNC list.  These calls are from scammers that want your money.  Don't become prey by calling them back.  Don't answer the phone unless you know who's calling!  Block those spoofed, scammer calls.

Find peace again.  We have enough other things to worry about.

Same call as everyone else. Tax scammer. He told be i owed 1700 bucks. When i said "ill pay it " he got all excited  then i said " i live right down the road from the irs building ill bring payment there" he hung up on me
