we received two calls on our answering machine- threatening that we return the call or 'suffer the consequences'.  we reported to the police and are also reporting to the attorney general. Someone with a foreign accent- not sure if they are trying to extort money but no other personal information was left on the message.,

This is (one of many) criminal extortion scams that have been going on for years. They are using VOIP and/or disposable cell phones to disguise their identities and locations, making them next to impossible to trace and prosecute. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting victims' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

It was a India man accent said that he was with Us Treasury. He said his name was Mike Watson. It was very windy could barely understand him at all. He said for me to call him back the very second I got this message. He said police would be on my door step. And I believe he said he wished me a happy life. So I tried to call back so I star 67 and it was just a fast busy signal. So I decided to check out number and ran across all these other complaints.

Try to use authorities to get you to call them back or they are going to be on your door step. It is sad because it makes me to where I don't answer any numbers I don't know. But how sad we are scared to answer our phones...

Received tow calls from this number threatening me that unless I paid him money right away, the sheriff would be at my door with five deputies.  Last week I received a call from a "Steven" from a LA number with the same scam.  How do these people get our names?

I work for a police department and called this number when a citizen came in to complain.  I spoke with a man who had a thick accent and told him not to call people in my city anymore.  Obviously a scam so be careful what you say to this man if you decide to call.  I recommend you just ignore the call and block the number.
