- Al| 4 repliesCalled this morning and left message threatening me with US Treasury taking me in from of federal magistrate or judge. This is what the national government is supposed to be stopping. Instead, all they want to do is take absolute control of people who do obey the law. People who run these scams need to get e real job, posing as targets for army boot camp marksmanship practice.
- Caller: Out of Area
- Donna replies to AlI just received the same message from this number.
- TimSame Treasury scam, different number and caller ID. Foreign accent (India) left basically the same message as previous ones. ID this time was Brooksville, FL.Unbelievable that they can get away with this. Appears to me that they don't have any names associated with the numbers they are calling.
The volume of incoming spoofed phone calls has exploded. Best advice is never answer any unknown callers. For fun and to show anyone in our inept federal government who might care (unlikely), I keep a log of dates, return numbers and ID's. They really pile up quickly. - BrendaReceived same call and same message. It's a scam! I never answer these calls!
- Phone ShyMessage left on landline. "U.S. Treasury" scam. Threatened legal action if I failed to call back to address some Federal criminal offense I supposedly committed. (I hope there really is a hell!)
- Caller: James Paxton
- know scammers| 5 repliesReceived message on my home phone, I thought he said his name was James Gaston, foreign accent: calling about an enforcement action executed by US Treasury; Ignoring will be intentional offense and will be brought before a magistrate judge, grand jury or federal criminal charges, help us to help you were his closing remarks!!! this is such a pile of bunk, thank heaven for Google searches. I feel sorry for people that fall for this crap.
- Caller: James Gaston; couldn't understand name of company
- Irritated in caSame message as above left on a landline
- Un believableReceived the same call as above with a voicemail. I returned the call and it was answered and then disconnected. They called back, I confronted the caller stating he was not with the US Treasury and he was committing fraud. He was rude and threatened me with arrest. I said I would gladly wait for the police and that I would report this as a scam. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!
- In TexasSame call on my recorder as stated above. I called back to confront, no answer!
- BillGot the same call threatening me with a federal magistrates court.
- BernJust received a call from "Robert Fischer" with alleged ID #17794 from the US Treasury stating that the US Treasury will be taking me in front of federal magistrate or judge. Indian accent, boiler room environment in background. Said I would be arrested within 40 minutes!
- Caller: "Unknown Name"
- MebiusGot the same call from this number and it's just sad how people that do this have nothing else better to do but to scam a poor unexpecting soul. James Gaston with a foreign accent and funny how you can just tell he's reading a script and can barely pronounce certain words. What a tool.
- Just MeGot a call just now with the same message. OK, Mr Gaston.....I'm waiting to be arrested. Bring it!!!!!

- In Ca replies to know scammers| 1 replyI received the same call and I also thought that he said his name was James Gaston, thick foreign accent. I told him that I was recording this conversation for the IRS and was told to hold so he could obtain my information and he hung up. I also received a call about a month ago from (276) 451-2606 and it sounds like the same person.
