They said they will give me a free alarm security system from ADT.
ADT said they would not have made this call.

it you get this phone number calling you it's a fraud or telemarketer just hang up

I received a call from this number and was online at the time... I was able to type in the number and open "800notes" before the ring finished... it confirmed that I shouldn't pick it up to answer

They have now switched to Hayes Security, selling alarm systems. Unlawfull calls from from an unprincaled sweat shop marketer

I don't remember, but I know it's no one I know... I've gotten a couple of calls from supposedly West Jet, and I know people who work for them who say this offer is legit. I can't remember if this was it, though. And I just hang up anyway. Just can't trust 'em.

Got the same call telling me I won a security system from ADT. I told him that this a scam and hung up. He called me 7 more times.

Got a call. Said he was from ADT Security. Told him I'm not interested & hung up!

Sam (with an heavy east indian accent) called to inform me that my phone number was randomly selected to win a free ADT security system. I asked how my number got entered to which he stated all phone numbers from my city were entered. I told him I already have a security system for which I pay $20/month to which he then went on to to state I'd get a free system installed and then for a low monthly rate of $33.99. I then pointed out that when I looked into getting a system that I discovered all ADT system come with free installs and high monthly rates so what he's offering isn't really a prize or anything different from their regular sales pitch. I then told him to put me on their DNCL.

Did not recognize number or area code.

I just now go the same line from the same accented man. When I told him he was breaking the law b/c we are on the DNC list. He said he was not selling anything and "wasn't I concerned about my security"? At which point I strongly reiterated and hung up.

Like LH above, the "accented" moron was "concerned of my safety"  I told him I have security...2 Dobermans and a 9mm...

I answered the call, after a pause he asked how I was, and I said good, but he then paused and I asked how I can help him.  I then hit him with a barrage that would make the worst person blush, I am tired of these guys calling...can't anybody do anything about them?

Got one this morning at 700 am so naturally grapped the phone without looking as assumed it was important at that time of day, could not hear the person, sounded like a cell phone fading in and out, so got concerned and looked up the number.  Thanks for the post everyone, will not be concerned now that I missed a call from someone needing help,  Geesh 700 AM that's pushing the rules for telemarketers.

Wife, who answered was told, in a deep weird voice, to give the phone to me, using my first name.

Guy with a very thick accent, used my husband's last name which I don't share.  He said his name was Dave and he was calling on behalf of Bell Canada because I'd won a security system.  I laughed and said I wasn't with Bell.  He immediately said "My NAME is Dave BELL, I'm calling on behalf of Rogers" and I said no you didn't, and he said "Ma'am, you're wrong, I said my name is Dave Bell" and I laughed again and he said "OH MY GOD!  Stupid!" and hung up.
