A caller with an Indian accent claimed to be "Tech Support" and requested information to "help me with my computer."  I simply said "I'm not interested in your help" before he hung up.  I didn't get enough infomation to figure out exactly what he was looking for, but I'm sure it was some sort of scam.

Left message.  When I got the message "hello". "Hello". Hung up

This number just called me. Same, it was a man with, what sounded like an Indian accent. He was asking for the owner of the computer in the home. I said we didn't have one and what this was regarding. He said he worked for windows tech service that wanted to help to protect the computer from hackers or something like that. I told him I had a laptop but not a PC computer and he caught an attitude with me saying not to lie to him. He told me not everyone that calls is a telemarketer and i shouldnt lie to him. Then I just hung up.

A indian guy called me in what sounded like a scam, he knew my name and address and was saying that "the windows computer registered at this address has a problem with it"

I have worked in the IT sector for many years and I keep close tabs on my computers and would know if something was up so I was not amused so I asked him "which computer are you referring to? which computer is registered to this address?"

He replied "I'm not talking about the computer make, I mean the windows operating system, like windows xp, windows 7, windows 8"

So I said "which version of windows is registered to this address?"

he couldn't answer and started with again saying "I'm calling because you have problem with your computer"

I then informed him I was no interested and told him to remove my name from his calling list.

He replied saying "he can not do that, then he started with his spiel again.

I said "Yes you can remove my name from your calling list, it is the law that if I ask you to remove my name from your list you have to"

Again he said "I can not do that"

I kept at him until he hung up on me.

Hopefully that'll be enough to keep him from calling me again.

(I'm guessing they are using one of the many public report databases that have names addresses etc or they could even be using a copy of the many financial databases that were hacked that include name, address, phone numbers etc)

I also received the same call about computer support from this person w an Indian accent.  He was extremely rude and aggressive; after I hung up on him the first time, he immediately called me back using a different caller ID and told me that if I were a real woman I would just listen to him and take care of the problem.   When I told him I would not be talking so someone so insulting, he said Well, ma'am you started it by not believing in my company & doubting we would fix the problem.  

I asked him for a phone number to return his call after I researched to see if this is a legitimate company (clearly I never believed it was), he refused to give it to me.. Asking how does he know I will call him back?!   Also told me to give him 1 legitimate reason that he does not have a good company.  He's calling from Microsoft support.   2nd hang up and he didn't call back.  

Caller ID said Name Not Found.  Everybody we know has a name so we didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message.

He called and asked if this was the main computer user and I stupidly actually listened until I asked specifically who was calling and tried to trace the call.

Received a call from this number at 1619 hours on October 6, 2014. When the answering machine kicked on, they hung up.

I also just received a call from the same #-he kept saying hello, hello & when I finally said hello he said he was with some Iowa compnay to help with computer issues. So he knew I lived in Iowa but I have a Missouri area code. This is scary to me as they apparently know where I live even if they are calling from international area. He was Indian or something but I told him it was a scam & hung up, then added # to my reject list.

Same issue. A guy with an Indian accent that was extremely rude claiming to be "tech support" called my place of employment. I played along with him at first because I knew he was bogus. He tried lead me in my computer for numbers (no idea). I asked him if he could tell what kind of computer I was on and he said a laptop...wrong answer! LOL I then asked him how much he gets paid to be a crook and that really made him mad. Then I told him to get a real job. People like this crack me up. #lame #losertown #maybeinyourcountry

The area code 359 is from Bulgaria.
