- IratedPhoneCompanyAbuseRecipient| 4 repliesSame scum, different Spoofed number - 360-200-4434 Caller ID "Consumer SVCS" - Typical scum bag human sewage scam call... Augmented a "big red button" call blocker with a Sentry Ver 2.2 Call Blocker in Mar '15 - the Sentry is the newest form and has better tech than the old reliable CPR Big Red Button Ver2 Blocker that's been in service since late June '14. The Sentry blocks ALL the incoming trash that's hit it so far, if it maintains the length of service the CPR has demonstrated it is the better unit to have... Having both does have a few nice effects - the CPR keeps a running total on what number has called how may times - current "winner" is 43 calls blocked from the same number.
The jackturds that do this crap keep changing the spoofed number and trying tricky crap in the dialing string to get past the blockers but it doesn't work ;> The CRP Blocker sees non phone number strings and odd characters after the call when that last number is added to the blocked list - The Sentry Blocker just plain dumps their call to the crap pile...
It is great to have the turds get shunted straight to the SCREW U bucket with the Blockers doing their thing :> May They waste Thousands of $$$s calling (even though I'm sure it's just pennies). Last week the FCC released another completely meaningless load of BS about how they are "TAKING ACTION !!!" against the types doing this stuff and it will cost them $1,500 a call !!! I haven't seen any difference in the call pattern of scum bags wasting time on me...
GOOD LUCK COLLECTING a penny off of any of these scumbags or getting one less call from them until the penalties are more like a Drone launched HellFire up the rear end of everyone of them doing the calling AND the "Management" above the "human drones" doing the phone work...
Tempting as it might be, it's best to NEVER answer these turd's calls and engage them - it only puts your number on the auto dialer's "call more" list since it confirms the auto dialed number used is a "live number" with a possible sucker on the end... They could not give a crap less if you ask to be "Taken off the list...."
A "no one there" call is what I interpret as a "probe" call just to see if there is a pickup or answering machine worth calling back. It's mostly all automated so the scum just act as drones waiting for a pickup and possibly a voice - I still get lots of the one time "probe" type calls followed with a few that are repeat call numbers for a few weeks then all the numbers and CIDs get changed to different ones to try for all new people they can try and defraud.
Too bad there is no listing in the "Call Type" that actually matches the real manner of the scum making the calls - there should be at least "Scammer" in the list.... Some where there may be an actual valid telemarketer making unwanted calls...and that's the only case that "telemarketer" really fits...- Caller: "Consumer SVCS" Aka Scumbagus Turd-i

- angryGramma| 2 repliesI was sleeping when this call was logged. I don't know if no mo robo got it or not. When I tried *69 I got THIS DIGIT IS NOT VALID. When I pressed 1 to call the number I got a recording to press various keys for various actions. I wish they had a key to send them a fresh delivery bucket of buffalo chips covered in fire ant sauce. Just saying...

- Steven ToryThis is the same "Rachel" or "Carmen" robocall scam. They are using every trick in the book to get your credit card number to charge for bogus services, supposedly to "reduce your interest rates." It is 100% criminal and they won't stop calling even if you reject them repeatedly.

- Steven TorySame credit card scam, they call every few days. How can I make them NOT hangup? They seem so touchy and hang up at the drop of a hat. Perhaps I don't sound gullible enough? Here's a sample: "This is Cardholder Services. Do you owe more than $2000 on your credit cards?" "I certainly do. How can you help?" {click}
How can I make my voice sound more like a victim? I'd like to waste these crooks' time as much as possible.- Caller: Consumer Services

- Punk 'Em Down replies to IratedPhoneCompanyAbuseRecipient| 1 replyIf you hang up, don’t answer or block the originator’s calls, they just move on, changing numbers now and then to get past the blockers. If we run, the 'Terrorists' win...If you want it fixed right, DIY...
Here's one fun and satisfying method aimed at the "Lower your interest rate" scum:
1) Agree that you have over $2000 in CC debt at over 9% interest.
2) Had to 'find’ my CC - took a few minutes. The had to find my statement - darn, where is it...?
3) Read the numbers (bogus - but write them down so you can repeat) slowly. When asked to repeat because the numbers don't work, read slowly back again, but change a 3 to an 8 (darn, don't have my glasses...).
4) Repeat until you sense impatience on the operator's part. Just before they hang up (this timing is a real art), read them, the 1-800 number on the back of the card – oddly, mine reads "1-800-National Do-Not-Call Registry".
This last time I had them on the phone for 14 minutes - this is close to a record, but I keep trying to best my previous time. GREAT SPORT!
The "Gummint" created the DNCR, but didn't give it any teeth. It is up to all of us to bite the telemarketers where it hurts by wasting their time, and, maybe more importantly, make them suspicious that every sucker they talk to could be a punker. When they start hanging up on REAL suckers, then their business model has failed... - gee245called a few minutes ago, while I was out & left a message; same as others have noted - lower your credit card scam... I blocked the number.

- AnonymousThis was a recorded message, a robocall from "Karen from Card Holder Services," telling me that this was my "final warning" about a credit card bill and "an opportunity to reduce credit interest rates."
Oh. Did I mention that I don't have a credit card? Not even one? I've never even had a bank account.
I submitted a complaint to the Do Not Call list page, but I doubt the government will do anything about it.- Caller: "Card Holder Services"
