- Al Burn| 1 replyRecorded female voice (American accent w/o inflection, possibly electronically simulated) states: "This call is officially a final notice from the IRS, Internal Revenue Services. The IRS is filing a lawsuit against you, etc...pls call (360)-200-4621". Despite the official sounding voice presentation, it made no sense. There hadn't been a "pre-final notice". No name, case number, instructions for the return call, or right to an attorney, etc. were mentioned. The # is listed as being in Washington State and did not match any IRS #s w/area code 306. It's clearly not legit and likely to have fraudulent aims.
- Caller: Couldn't find it.
- Call type: Debt collector
- mikeLeft message same as Al Burn reported
- Call type: Telemarketer
- yoliI just got a call from this number and told them I need additional information before I would give them any information. When I continued to question them, I was told that the call was an error and to disregard the call. The gentleman I spoke with had an Indian accent.
- Caller: IRS
- CarmenI had a message left from a woman's voice claiming to be from IRS.she stated that this is my final notice before filing a lawsuit.then gave the phone number 360-200-4621. Clearly a fraudulent call.
- LindaSame as above. Electronically generated voice stating the same message. Not about to bite the hook!
- Smithcaller told me the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.
- Caller: Comcast
- BobbieI just had a caller leave the same message on my voicemail (IRS is filing a lawsuit against me). My kids and I were very upset by this call. I am so happy I googled the number and found this link. It eases my mind.
- Eric| 1 replysame here called verified call as IRS called back asked for IRS agents name and ID number....Indian accent when I questioned him further I advised him if this was not the IRS I was calling the Federal Attorney Generals Office and filing a complaint....He told me to go [***] myself and a [***].....That's no way for a Fed to act...I told him to learn to play the game better😊 total scam
- JAMJust got a robo call with similar message" final notice the IRS is filing a lawsuit immediately against us". Know this is a scam to get money or info from you. IRS does not do business by phone like this. The real IRS would send a letter. Ignore this call. DO not respond or give them any info. You can call your local IRS office and let them know these scammers are calling.
- Caller: fake IRS
- DaveAs above, only about 11:10 EST. Robo call recorded in voice mail. Would the IRS actually use a robo-call system to notify a filer of a problem? Not just a problem, but one that has gotten to the point that they are spending the $ to go to court? Shouldn't there be a notice of filing errors first? (I've gotten those.) They'd only go to court if the taxpayer refuses to pay and hasn't appealed the finding or appealed and lost.
From Longview WA.- Call type: Debt collector
- Erica SueI just received a call from this number as well. The caller was an American accented woman, not like the Somali accented one who called a few months ago. Same IRS lawsuit blah, blah, blah. Another one you should look out for is one from Microsoft Security (no such entity) claiming they were monitoring my 6 year old computer and that it had become infected. Unfortunately, my husband fell for the scam and allowed them to remotely take over our computer. All my credit cards were hacked because I had a file on the desk top with all the numbers listed, silly me. Times have so changed. Now you can get mugged sitting at your desk at home.
- Caller: Unavailable
- Susan AgerSame as previous posters. Who can this be reported to so it can be investigated?
- Caller: IRS
- marythis number has called me today. they need to lock them up .
- Caller: irs law suit against me
- CherylGot the same voice message on my cell phone saying it was the IRS and they had been trying to get a hold of me and I needed to call (360)200-4621. I called it and got a lady that couldn't speak very good English. She asked for my first and last name. I did not give her my name, I just simply asked her why they were calling me because I told her I knew the IRS did not contact people by phone. She didn't say anything, she just hung up. This is a scam!! This kind of stuff needs to stop! Yesterday my husband got a similar call on his cell phone from a collection agency, supposedly, saying we owed over $1,200.00!! Which is bogus!! They need to crack down on all these scammers!

- LainieI just received a call from this number and unlike the phone calls listed here on this site they'd mentioned a survey I had taken a while back and were claiming to want to ship my gift cards that I had earned to my house. It seemed ok at first because they mentioned the survey and even tho I wasn't sure how they knew about it I knew it was true I had taken the survey. Then they wanted credit card information and personal information that's not required for this type of thing. As soon as I said I don't have a credit card they just hung up out of the blue. I feel this phone number is not safe and am not sure how to report it........
- Call type: Survey
- flutemotherI'm copying another reporter verbatim, as my call was identical to his:

- IreneJust got a call from this number - American female recording that she is the IRS and the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call this number immediately. I did try to call that number and it just rang and rang. Scared me at first but I'm aware of the phone scams and I'm also aware that, that is not how the IRS does business. Thanks for having this site to confirm for me that it was just a scam. Sure hope that no one gets hooked. Does anyone know what's being done about it?
- Caller: IRS
- Call type: Debt collector
- RichardSame as previous complaint
- PatSame call. They are busy today :(
- TimGot the "IRS is filing suit against you" call about a half-hour ago on my machine. Something didn't smell right about it. Gotta be a scam. Some police agency in Washington State needs to lock this SOB up.
