    My name is not important
This was a scam call from Windows Technical Department. They called because my computer is not responding to error messages. He even went so far as to ask me to log on to my computer and read him some information.
I can;t believe anyone falls for these scams anymore, but just in case... be aware!

My husband just received a call on his cell phone from 360-232-1102.  A woman with an Indian accent was telling him she was from Microsoft Windows and that he had a problem with his computer's security.  Sounds like a scam to me!  Thankfully, my husband didn't provide any information and asked where to call back.
    • Caller: Allegedly Microsoft Windows !?!

ID said 'Washington call'.  Man with accent at other end said he was from Windows technical etc.  He hung up when I mentioned that I would be reporting and blocking future calls.  Funny that.
    Call type - scammer.

Received a call from Windows technical department 360-232-1102. Disclaimer: this post may not be in the politically correct category so for all those politically correct folks, stop reading here.
As the noise of a boiler room echoed over the phone, the Indian voice comes through saying his name is Max Cooper. I said, I highly doubt that but ok. He said why, I said because of your accent but you picked a movie star kind of name so kudos. Apparently my computer is sending signals to the windows 10 technical department. I said why are you concerned about my computer errors? He said it was his job. So I may or may not have fibbed and said. OK well which computer is it. He said how many do you have. I said three (standing in front of the only one). So which one was it. He said sit in front of one. Um. ok..So I said how do you know. He said, it's sending signals by your IP address. I said perfect. Then so I know which computer it is, what is my IP address. He put me on with his supervisor because the fish he thought he hooked is now wiggling off the hook. His supervisor said it's confidential information. I said well you called me. You said MY computer is sending YOU signals. He wants to verify my address. I said perfect but my computer isn't even on. He said they've been monitoring it for 2 weeks. I said ok you tell me what my IP address is and I'll verify it with you. (pffft, yeah right) I said by the way, where are you calling from. He said The state of WA, I again said I highly doubt that. So he proceeded to give me my IP address 888DCA........and about a dozen letters and numbers. He said if I didn't do this then the windows technical dept would not want to hear it if I had trouble in the future. I said Dude...don't worry you won't hear about it at all, the only one who will hear about it is my son, Justyn Osborne who may or may not help his mother but thanks for calling and I appreciate you worrying about my computer Max Cooper from Washington

oh GOD, my MOM doesn't have a computer & received the call with no message left.  Seems like they now are using "Private Number" to continue their phishing scam as she had another call & I had two on my office phone when answered all three were extremely heavy foreign accents.  Gave one an ear full & the other two hung up quicklt!

This operation uses different phone numbers with the same sermon.  Got a call last week and never answer but I mistakenly picked up w/o thinking.  It was Indian accent stating I had computer problems.  I led him on acting like I did not know what he was talking about.  He said he needed to fix it and was from Microsoft.  After asking him how I could be having problems since I don't own a computer (have MAC), his exact words to me were, " you f***ing Idiot" and he hung up.  I kept him on the phone a while and got the last laugh. Today called from 360-232-1102.  What low life!  I did not answer todays call nor did they leave a message!

I received a call today at 12:30 3-23-2016, Caller showed in ID he was calling from Washington, said they were getting messages from my Computer that there is a Problem and he was going to help me fix, played along said OK, told me to hit control & flag next to it, while holding those to hit the Letter "R", brought me to the address bar & to type in some letters, and then another screen popped up & then told me to download that info, that's where I drew the line told him nope wasn't gonna do that and don't call me anymore, didn't know who he was didn't believe he was from Microsoft, and that I was going to report him and hung up.
