- mnoonCalled, but I did not answer. A female recording left a voice mail stating that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call this number back for more info. I THINK NOT!
- Caller: IRS
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Moonsame as caller above: called, I didn't answer, threats of an IRS lawsuit - and the best of all - I was to call back immediately!!!
- Caller: "IRS"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- PrisSame as the caller above, a female recording stating the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. I called back the number,

- YangGot a call from 360-255-7375 early morning. Did not answer it. A female left a message, saying something about a case and instructed me to call them back. Did not call back.
- Ben| 5 repliesGot a call from this number - 2 calls in fact. After they called back I knew it must be important. I called and spoke to Bob. He asked for my social and my credit card number to verify my identity and I gave it to him. I am awaiting him to call me back to confirm what the heck is actually going on.
- Gunnar replies to BenI sincerely hope you're kidding! If you actually gave your SSN & CC number to an unverified caller you are going to find out "what the heck is going on" in spades. Call your CC company immediately & cancel your card. Have a new one issued. Contact your bank & put alerts on your accts. Contact the CRAs & put alerts on all activity. You've been scammed & I pray (for your sake) that not too much damage has already been done.
You need to become an educated consumer. You're soon to understand why. Naivety is no longer an excuse.
Be Safe. Be Aware.
Gunnar - GateKeeper replies to BenI'm with Gunnar. I HOPE you're trying to be funny, because if you aren't you're about to spend a LOT of time and energy trying to clean up the mess these scammer about going to make of your credit, your bank account, and any other information they can get their hands on.
In addition to what Gunnar suggested you do (which you should ABSOLUTELY follow TO THE LETTER) if might be wise to give your relatives a call and inform them that you've been majorly scammed, and there's a severe likelihood the scammers have their names, (and possibly numbers) as well. - Erik replies to BenCancel your credit card immediately and report to police and freeze all your accounts.
They definitely are scam - senior citizenI received a call from this number this morning. A male voice, claiming to be from the IRS said that I must call immediately because a law suit is getting filed today unless I pay what is owed. I reported this to the Atty. General's office. (He also claimed he had been trying to get in touch with me for weeks.) He had not! IRS contacts by mail...Not phone.
- id| 1 replylucky me, this is my second call from these people today. As in the above messages- don't give anyone anything anytime. The IRS sends information though the mail not over the phone. Be alert and stay awake!!!
- Caller: "IRS"
- Call type: Prank

- Jack Malone| 1 replyHere in North Carolina, I received the same call today, Friday, at 3:10 pm EST. Caller ID shows the State of Washington! NOT WASHINGTON DC! Female voice alerted me that the IRS was filing suit against me and to call back immediately.
- Caller: Unknown & Illegal
- Thanks VetizonIRS scam. . Same thing. .gonna sue. .getting real sick of this crap
- CWG40 replies to Jack MaloneThey often use State of Washington, as a CID thinking it is the same as Washington DC. Easy way to spot the scam.
- NicoleReceived 2 calls from 360-255-7375 this morning. An automated message with a female voice said that it was the IRS and that there is a lawsuit against me and to call back immediately. Yeah Right!! After the second call I called back. Took dozens of tries to get through. The first time a man (in a call center) with an accent answered and when I tried to verify the number he said it was a wrong number and hung up. The next time a different man with an accent picked up. Confirmed the number. I told him I was recording the call and would be turning it over to the FBI. I have recorded both calls. He asked if I could edit his voice and make it sound sweet. FRAUD!!!
- Caller: Scam!
