call says they are IRS going to file a lawsuit!!

Called and left 2 messages. One was from 360-262-6471 and the other was from 206-317-1554. Understanding this is a scam, I listened to Officer Mather tell me that Section 101 of the U.S. Tax Code outlines violations from 2008-2013 for a total of $6,900.13. My case number was RM209. I had the choice of negotiating and paying all or part of the debt, going to court to fight the charges, or they were sending the local sheriff to arrest me. Imagine how quickly they hung up when I informed them that I worked for the audit department of the IRS and had been recording the call.

I have had the identical experience today only I also received a call from a local area code 404 number too.  He did have my address too.  Asked me why I hadn't updated my residence with the government. LOL Then he hung up when I asked him to fax me the paperwork he claimed he mailed to me three times already.

yeah, the same one as before.  my narrative was not included in first post,  but i rec'd same type calls from area codes 206 and 360.  both were identical recordings.  i called back, female with African (?) accent answered.  when questioned about lawsuit there was only a long pause from other end.  more questions from me, female said something like "phony call......hahahahaha"

I had 2 different numbers 360-262-6471 & 206-317-1554 both claiming to be irs saying i owed back taxes from 08-13 in the amount of 8900.00. A warrant for my arrest was issued and my d/l was suspended and my bank account seized. I told them my bank was closed and the man said go to a walmart to transfer the money to irs. I hung up on him. No irs agent would ask you to go to a walmart to transfer money. Scammers working in Monroe county georgia. I spoke with sheriff deputy and it is currently under investigation for there have been multiple reports such as this. Report it!!!

Received a call from 360-262-6271 a recording  stating I was being sued by the IRS.  I looked up the number and seen it is a scam.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I've worked in a CPA office - the IRS will send you letters through the mail.

They sounded like an IRS phone scammer to me. Thick Hindi accent proclaiming to be an IRS Marshall.

They called proclaiming I was being sued by the IRS. A final notice & warrant for my arrest. Thick Hindi accent with both men having American names but thick accents threatening to come to my door & arrest me.
