Cell phone rang...I answered...no one on the other end.

Called. No message. Telespammer?

called, no reason to call me on a beautiful Friday after biz hours....I didn't answer. No message. I called it back and it said thank you for calling back about our marketing promotion. I hung up.

This spammer number is alive again (10-1-2012).  Left a voice mail when I hit the reject button.  It is a telemarketer with the familiar 'I can lower your interest rates but this will be my last call' fraud.  I thought they had busted this person....

Didn't answer; no voicemail.  Called back and got a machine, but the connection was weak and the voice was choppy.

Actually, they did leave one of those "lower your credit interest rates" voicemails.  The name she gave was Ashley Martin, or something like that.

Answered the call that came into my workplace this morning at 10:46 CST.  Recorded message said my credit card companies had authorized them to call.  At the end of the recording, there were a couple options. I pushed "9" to NOT be called again.  Hope that really works do I don't get called again.

This annoying, disruptive, unwanted, miserable, and worthless good-for-nothing company calls many times a day. How can they be stopped?

Annonymous in MS,   they did infact bust 5 of them.  They got sentenced on sept 7,2012 (last month) to prison time ranging from 17 1/2 , 10,  on down to 2 years.  The woman mastermind got the 17 1/2 and her husband got the 10 years.   However,  there are more than one out there using this scam.  Fortunately this old scam is getting a little long in the tooth so the scam peoploe are starting to move on to other,  more threatening type scams.   Also,  they  made an arrest a few months back on one of the "Hi, this is Megan,   Heather,  or Rachel,   calling to inform you that your cars warranty will soon expire" scam.  Their court date is pending.  So,  thanks to all who keep filing complaints with the dnc, ftc, and fcc, it's encouraging that the system seems to be working regardless of how slow.

no answer when I answered

Received this call saying "incoming" and of course I don't answer calls that I don't know.    My machine went on and then they hung up.

I received a call this morning, Oct 2, at 9:27 AM. The automated message said, "Your credit card information is in the mail." And then it hung up. I called the number back, not knowing who the other party was, and ended up in another automated system that gave me the option to have my number removed once I confirmed the number that called me and my own number. I decided not to confirm anything since it seemed a little too mysterious for my liking, and I entered my cell number into the National Do Not Call Registry instead.

got a voice mail from this #, claiming she is Ashley and "we spoke over phone last week about lowering credit card interest rates"

I just got a call from this number. No voice, or any message. They just listened. They called to my work line, so that was interesting.

Keep calling someone else losers.

Recording that talked through the greeting on my voicemail.  All I got was "Press 1 now to put your business on the front page. Press 9 to be removed."

I suspect this is either Google advertising or an equally annoying search engine optimizer scam.
