This number is a scam. They call and tell you that your social security number came across their desk and that you owe money for a payday loan you didn't pay back. They claim they are a law office. It is NOT true - they have tried calling me from three different numbers to get me to pay them or they would see me in court.

This same number is calling my phone, my boyfriend's phone and now my job!!! They say I owe on a payday loan I took out in March of 2010 - never happened!!! The guy who says he is a lawyer for the American Law Office in Los Angeles, CA can't answer any of my questions and says he is not authorized to send me any documents to show me the loan even took place. He calls about 7 times a day for different numbers, gives me a different name and when I question him, he becomes angry and curses at me then hangs up!! I have Googled searched for the company name and the address he gave me but nothing comes up. This is just a huge scam I know because I never took out a loan! But how do I get it to stop?????

The same number just called me American Law Office.  They told me that I got a payday loan from American Cash Advanced in January 2011.  I checked my bank records and there was NO transaction for the amout that they gave me.  They couldn't even speak good english!  TOTAL SCAM!  They are calling me at work and it is really pissing me off!  They told me that I would have to appear in court in the next few days!  I asked what court that would be and he couldn't even answer me that.  I asked for his phone number and he said have a nice and hung up!  WHATEVER!!!!  I need this to STOP...but how??

This the second time they call me but it's with a different number today I complain about the other number.

I got the same message twice today. Saying that he could only wish me luck as bad things would happen. He couldn't even say my name right. I am not calling back because I do bel;ieve this is a scam. Says he is calling from American Legal asociates

OMG! This man called me first said his name is Adam or something. I got angry and hung up on him but then I was worried that somehow I would get in trouble for this money. So, I called him back several times trying to get info from him which he would not give. The last time I called him back he whispered that he wanted to lick my butt. I want to report this! I'm furious. He called my direct line to my desk at work. How do I report this?

My bf was calling them back none stop and start harrassing them by saying that they should go back to India. They stop calling us. I talked to him as if I was a lawyer and tell him to subpoena us, they got scared. It's obviously a scam, do not give them your personal info. They somehow got your info, I believe is that you (be honest) probably applied for a pay day loan or having some minor money problem. When you googled something about loan and money, or even student loan, the search engine data base can tell what you have been searching, and this is how these people get your info and scam you. Do not call back if it's a miss call, sometimes they just want to know if the phone is in service. Best thing to do is not pick up and or say that they got the wrong number. Give them a different name, and contact federal authorities.

its a scam., they left me a vociemail threatning me an i called back an cursed them out as soon as they answerd. i was bored when i did it so i called back again jus 2 [***] wit them but this time posing as my own lawyer jus 2 see wat they knew an as someone above me stated they get ur info from u applyin for a loan. i know this because the info they had was incorrect ex. were they thought i worked n my address. i started askin alot of questions an this guy mark williams with the accent didnt wanna answer them an jus said we could handle it outside of court or they would sepona or garnish my wages. i kept [***] wit him an he hung up.. so i waited 5 min an called back he didnt answer. i called again an some [***] named adam answered. he is easily intimediated. i was using alot of big words as if i was a lawyer (cause im court all the time i kno the lingo)an he was scared 2 tell me his name at 1st an when he did i jus went straight in on him not lettin him ask me a question but askin him for his address. he said it was 9522 oak bay rd suite 100 an that he was in washington. i said thats great im in washington now on vacation how about i stop in an he paused an said my name. an i said adam who told u my name an he said my number came up in his computer then i told him that i knew about his whole scam operation an that i googled his address an phone number an thev address is bogus an the number has alot of complaints about it bein a scam and that they [***] up by [***] with me

Alan Smith calling from American Legal Associates reporting that my friend has used my name fraudulently.  This is a scam!!!!  I am not going to call back.

For months on end we have received calls from several different phone numbers including this one. They called again today suppoosedly from American Legal Associates the name changes as often as their phone number even though it's always the same man he neither speaks english or understands it very well. They have resorted to calling 7 times or more in a row upto 30 or more times a day even around midnight. Once I was so severely ticked off I answered the phone by screamed into it at the top of my lungs the calls stopped for a week. I have changed my out going voice mail message stating that if we can't understand the english you are speaking we will not return your call no matter how many times you call so stop calling. This is a total scam they are constantly threatening that "you'll be picked up and spend years behind bars if you don't take care of this and oh are you refusing to take care of this matter?". They claimed that there was a loan taken out through "Cash Advance which is the mother company to over 300 other companies" and kept repeating this. I asked the name of the supposed company under them which the loan was through? "I don't know there are so many" was the response. I asked what date was this $ to have gone into my account and or transaction to have taken place? "Oh I can't give you that information" was the response. I asked for the phone # of this supposed company? No response was given. I also asked him why would I give you our personal information if you have no answers? or real information for me? Again no response and every time I would ask him a question the threats would get worse and worse even to the extreme. I truely hope that others out there are not falling from this crap!

I received a call from American Legal Associates as well claiming that I was going to be charged with fraud among other charges and that my employer would be notified of my wrong doing if I did not pay for a loan that I never received or requested from Cash Advance America. He refused to give me any contact information for the company that was claiming this, he also refused to give me any of his contact information other than the number he called from and his name, Aaron Clark. He stated that he did not have a boss I could speak with and he could not discuss the case details over the phone but I would be served with a court summons. I checked my account to verify that I did NOT receive a $350 loan in March of 2011 and indeed I DID NOT. I googled  the company name that he said he worked for and received nothing. As I did not receive any money from anyone on the date he is claiming I am going to assume this is fraud, however I do not like the fact that this complete moron had access to and read to me my name, address, ssn, personal email and actually contacted me at work. If anyone has advise on how to prevent any further fraud from this guy please share

It is a scam. Don't waste your time.

I have graduated law school but not taken the bar. Any real suit would come to you in a different venue.... not via the phone by someone with a fake name (obviously) I informed him to send me official documentation, but their response was that it is going to my employer because it was fraud on their payroll. I informed him that unless I used their petty cash or their credit card, that my paycheck is MY money and I can do with it as I wish, without it reflecting on my employer. He had nothing to say and was not prepared for someone to stand up to him. Don't back down. We need to show these guys the harassment they are showing us.

Call with profanity and swearing stated it was America Legal

There is a person that calls me on my cell and at work with a heavy accent (such as a person from India would have.)  States he has a legal emergency regarding me.  Says his name is Alan Smith (that's a joke with that heavy of an accent.)  He is asking for my bank account info and ss #.  What a joke.  I talked to my attorney and she advised me that it sounded like a fraud/scam.  I have threatened him with legal action if the calls contiune and he still calls.  I don't know what to do.  It's embarassing at work and just flat out annoying and a waste of my cell phone minutes.  What do I do?

We received numerous calls in May, even called my wife at work and said the Sheriff was coming in 5 minutes to arrest her.  All caller ID numbers come up as State (Florida, Nevada, New York) call.  I contacted the Attorney Generals office and was told they buy prepaid phones then throw them away.  So you know how widespread across the country it is.  Was told just to pick up phone and hang up.  Well they started again yesterday and I love to argue with the [***].  They wanted me to fax a letter saying I was surrendering XX amount of dollars and give them my debit or credit card number.  I laid into OSAMA as I called him and told him the jig was up.  Told him to come to my house and I would give him $315 worth of ASS whooping, then if anything was left I would feed him to my dog.  Then AKMAR changed his attitude and said "Buck you Mutterbucker"  I laughed and told him you can't even speak English, why don't you go back to the Middle East so I can drop a bomb on your ass.  Sorry, I do not mean to offend anyone here, just when ANYONE try's to scam us I'm coming out fully loaded no matter what ethnic group it is.

dum jacks threaten me that i am going to spend my life in jail for a online payday loan that was not paid back....Little do they know at this point in my life 4 kids and a divorce,,,NO loans are paid back,,,jump in line and get in where u fit in...I asked what time is jail check in,,so I will not waste my food or pay my utility bill...
