Got a call from this number on my cell. I never give out my cell number. Unknown number-I don't answer.

Spam They have called me 3 days in a row. saying that they have $7000 for me. Just ignore it. Dont give them the time of day. And if you answer they will not put you on there no call list.

Again the Federal Grants Scam called.  Are people that gullible thinking the government has money to spare to give away.  The USA does not give free money to anyone.  and why do we continue to answer a ringing phone.  I don't answer the phone just because it rings.  if it is important they will leave a message.

Don't get annoyed just don't answer the phone!

Got a call from this number and the claim you are eligible for $7000.  They asked if I wanted it in my bank account a prepaid debit or western union.  I said western union.  I was given another number to call 202-657-5928.  I won't be calling this number.  If the government wanted to give me money, which I am pretty sure they don't then they would sent me an official check for me to cash.  This sounded too good to be true and usually it is so best of luck to anyone who has to deal with this similar scenario.

anybody ever get a toll free 800 number from these a$$holes?  every time I answer the phone they never talk to me.  Maybe they do not like the way I answer the phone

First i check the caller ID.   That helps me determine how I answer the phone.
I may say anything from "Hello" to  "Who are you?" to "What the hell do you want?"
If it is a repeat call the greeting may be even worse.
Being retired, I like to get the telemarketers and string them along and waste their time.
Really enjoy the ones who want to lower the interest rate on my credit cards.  I have even developed a script for them that is better than their script.  Confuses the heck out of them.  Then I tell them  need to get my spouse so we can make the decision together.  Then I put the phone down by the TV speaker and go get a cup of coffee or whatever.  Sometimes they are still there when i get back 10 minutes later.  Then I ask them a bunch more questions they have to research because the answer is not on their script.   FUN! FUN!  FUN!!!

Just got a call from this number.   He pronounced my name wrong, and in a heavy accent and informed me that he was "Calling from the US Government" and needed to verify my information.  When I refused and said "The U.S. Government does NOT just call people on their house phones to try and get their social security numbers, etc." and that I would be reporting him, he informed me "I am from the government!  You have no proof I am a scammer!  I work for the government and I am unafraid!"   ........

Be careful.  All of the scamming.  Isn't it a felony or at least a misdemeanor to pretend to be the government and defraud citizens?

Some lady who said her name was Karla Wilson (but couldn't hardly pronounce it) with the same bs $7000 check from the US government for me that I would never have to pay back.
I said: My government doesn't give money away or pay peoplewho barely speak English make their phone calls.
She: hung up
