I received a call from this number this morning stating it was a final notice from the IRS.

Message says that it's the IRS getting ready to file a law suit? I don't have any IRS problems.

Same nonsense about "final notice from the IRS.

Also got a call saying the irs is filing a lawsuit.

“We have been trying to reach you. This call is officially your final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you,” says the pseudo-female voice. “To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number, 360-388-3070. I repeat: 360-388-3070. Thank you.”

Recorded message:  this is the IRS.  This call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a law suit against you.  Please call back immediately about the case at 360-388-3070.

This number called about an IRS lawsuit.

I received a call today,stating I am being sued by the IRS. Bogus call.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Received a call today saying they had filed a law suit and left this number to call back. I returned the call and the person claimed we owed taxes from an audit they had done on our 2008-2012 taxes. We don't have any tax issue so I am sure this is a scam. I asked for their address so I could come take care of the situation and they said to Google IRS to get the address.

I got the same message as all the above. I'm located in the Arlington, Texas area.

Same as everyone else. 3/12/15. I'm glad I looked up the number and saw everyone else's comments. Caller ID showed the call actually came from 721-590-6544. I was suppose to call back at 360-388-3070.

received the same msg, called back (and couldn't understand them) asked to speak to someone that has English as their first language so they hung up.  I literally called them 20 times now they don't answer.  Now it time to just F#$% with their heads
