received a call at 9:09AM  Saturday morning claiming they are call from IRS. My caller ID showed a name Steven Martin. When I called back a person with a heavy accent answered and stated he did not know Steve Martin. When asked are you calling from IRS he said yes. I called him a liar and hung up

keep getting this call saying IRS is sueing me.  I know this a scam...

I got this call twice this week and called the number today. A man with a heavy Indian or Pakistani accent answered.  It was very difficult for me to understand what he was saying. But he said that IRS had audited past tax returns and found errors in calculation. I said I had not received any mail about this. He said they had tried to deliver registered mail but no one was home to sign for it.  I said the post office would leave a notice for me to pick it up and I never got any such thing.  He said my choice was to hire a lawyer or pay something over $5,000. At that point I said I thought the call was a scam and I hung up.

Got calls Saturday morning, 9 am, and Friday morning, female Robo voice telling me the IRS has been trying to contact me and they are suing me. I thought about calling back just to get their hopes up and then slam them down when I laugh in his face , but I don't want to pay extra charges to call a foreign country . Not sure if there are extra charges involved . I don't know if this is the same number I got calls from a few months ago . Maybe I should call up and tell them I do have a lawyer retained and I want their information? I reported them last time to the FCC , I guess nothing happened,, or it's someone else doing the same scam . You guys need a category for scam calls .
