Repeats # then says IRS

I just got the same message stating they were the IRS.  We all know if the IRS wants to contact you they will send you a letter in the mail.

I got the same message is this a legit call

It claims to be from the IRS.....I'm sure it's total B.S.  The IRS would never contact this way without an 800 number.  They always use the mail to threaten people

They just called back leaving the same msg. Its getting to be a pain how many times they call stating to be the IRS

It's bs I'm sure the irs usually corresponds via u.s mail or 800 number

I got a call from this number as well The lady stated she was from the IRS I admit it scared me at first I did my research before I called them back,plus my mother called them herself and got just a regular voicemail, don't believe whoever is calling from this number!!

This company calls and identifies themselves as the IRS not Frontier Communications Northwest Inc.

I received a call from this number. Yesterday they did not leave a voicemail. Today the lady left a voicemail.  She stated she is with a law firm and a law suit has been filed against my name and social security number.  I have never even been to Washington.  She stated that if did not appear at trial a warrant would be filed and I would be arrested.   I called the number back and get a recording that no one is available to take my call.  I left a message that did nor include my name only my phone number.   This has got to be a BIG SCAM and I wonder how many people it has affected.

I received the exact email verbatim as the previous posts. How many different scams is there out there? Seriously, since when does the FBI send out stupid emails like this? I am so sick of bs like this. Idiots can't even use proper English and the spelling is terrible. Other than never answering our phones and deleting our email accounts, how can we fight this crap?

LOL I got the same email message about an arrest warrant, but from the "FBI."  At least they are changing it up a little.  Obviously, it's not the federal government.  There are at least a dozen indicators if anyone is interested.  A few examples for those who fear this could be legitimate: failure to appear arrest requires that you received an order to appear, served by a process server or a sheriff.   They don't do that for debt.  The court doesn't care whether or not you choose to defend yourself if someone sues you.  If you failed to show, the judge would just enter a default judgment against you. Second, the FBI investigates federal criminal matters, not state civil matters, and they sure as hell aren't going to spend manpower to go get you over a failure to appear warrant unless it was a violent federal crime. When they do serve a warrant, the last thing they will do is warn you they are coming.  It increases the risk of flight and violence against them.  Just don't give them money, they will probably steal your bank information.
