unsolicited telephone call on my cell phone.

automated call from Commonwealth Edison asking if i want to stop my economy plan. I do not even own a house or pay an electric bill.

The caller is NOT commonwealth edison. NOT!!!! It is a SCAM. They pretend to be from your electricity provider and will attempt to extract enough info from you to switch you to a different provider. Here's what I found out about this number -

I don't answer when I don't recognize the number.  These unsolicited calls coming to cell phones lately is becoming epidemic!  Why doesn't donotcall.gov work!?!?

These people keep calling and if it is fraud they should be fined and the fine given to those who need it.

Next time they call I am going to answer and record the conversation. If it sounds like a scam, Ive got them nailed.

Crank call did not answer,  I am a California resident

Got a call from them when I attemped to get there organization name, she would not answer and said she would add me to the do not call list.

This number has called me three times today and hung up each time when my answering machine picked up.  Isn't this supposed to be illegal?
