07/09/2014 11:28 AM from Silverdale, WA. No message was left.
I *67'ed the #. Same nonsense. No company identified. Press 1 to be removed from their list. Never press anything. Never call back without blocking your number.

Same thing: 2:04 p.m. CT answered to dead silence. *69 for phone number. Save these numbers and report them to the CT Department of Consumer Protection as documentation for 5K suit. More people equals more evidence to prosecute

Called twice NJ.  No answer

Called back with ID blocked; got a recorded message saying to press 1 if I did not want further messages regarding their special offers.  The company was never identified and I did not stay on the line to see who might have picked up

Called me on my mobile. It comes from an area code where I know that I don't know anyone or do business. I never answer and they leave no message. If they are legitimate, then they would leave a message. I automatically block them after the first time. But they get new numbers and call again. Sometimes 2xs a day each from different area codes. I'm going to leave this same post on every number that they call from here on out.

Third call this month on my DNC land line saying they have a person on the way to deliver a package for --- ------. My ex husband. I have told them on all three calls that I divorced him 30 years ago. They say "sorry" but continue to call. Have no idea who they are or how they got my number if looking for X.

FCC should require all phone companies to provide unlimited, free call block to all customers since their DNC list is basically useless.

Received several calls from ST using different phone numbers.  Didn't pick up.  No message left. Blocked call.  I agree that all phones should now have the ability to block many more than 30 phone numbers.  At least my  iPhone seems to be able to block unlimited callers!  Very annoying. Yes, I'm on the DNC list.

Received this called today, pre recorded message, pushing a pain medication and that I was already pre-approved for payment through my health care provider. Just another scam.

Called about 9:55 am, left no message. I know this is not a first call from "ST". Others who have been called say this outfit is pushing a pain medication. I cannot believe anyone would buy something like this from an anonymous nutter.

Called 2 hrs. ago, I didn't answer (never do).  No msg.  Blocking!

( Caller i.d. ST )  These folks are HIGHLY ANNOYING... Not answering, they leave no message... Have received multiple calls from them... On June 26 they used 585-206-6031 - June 25, 650-277-2613 - June 24, 650-277-2612 - July 3, 253-245-2531 - July 10, 360-633-9564...  Please Join in and report !!

A guy with a deep recorded voice says "Don't hang up. This is not a sales call". At this point I hung up the phone. The call came in on my land line.

Left recorded message on voice mail for pain relief cream.  But they are the pain.  Caller ID said ST.

I didn't answer... I'm on a nat. do not call list.  I checked here first.

this was a recorded call trying to sell some kind of a new pain killer.  Just more crap.

Received a call from 360-633-9564, answered, no one there.  Reporting because I am sick of these types of calls.

What options does one have to defend themselves against intrusive callers?

• The Do Not Call list (Federal or State)
Works, but is effective against ONLY "legitimate" telemarketers.  Political callers, surveys and some other callers are exempt.  Scammers ignore the DNC list.

• Nomorobo
A system offered by some telephone providers, to help automatically block robocalls.  Google "nomorobo" to see if it works with your phone provider.

• Shouting, screaming, swearing at the caller
Nope.  Does not stop calls.  May make you hoarse, and will disturb nearby people.

• Call blocker app, device or service
Could be a good choice (even though the scammers can use fake phone numbers), and some apps are free!
Google "call blocker" for more information, or check your favorite online sales site for a list.

Your phone provider may also offer blocking services.  Check their web page for information.

If you cannot use any of the above defenses, then:
• Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service

• If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.

Received a call from this number.  Did not answer.  It came over caller ID as ST.  I am on the National Do Not Call List.
