They say they are from IRS, they are not, the IRS does not call folks.  ITS A SCAM CALL
Additionally Uses computer generated voice, so its not from anywhere they speak English.
DO NOT CALL THEM BACK.

Called said an audit from IRS said I had deliberately frauded the gov and I owed $7986. I had to pay $500 by today or would be arrested tomorrow

This seemed lie a fraud ... said they were the IRS and were filing a suit.  Asked for my info and I hung up

Case Call

A person with an accent from India called me with that number and said the IRS had criminal charges against me. I told him I didn't know what he was talking about. The male person said I had signed for the notice of service in January 2015. The male said he needed my criminal attorney's name and number (at this point I felt he was trying to intimidate me. I'm a cop so I wasn't that scared).

I told him to give me his name and number and I would have my representative call him. The male then hung up on me.

It's definitely a scam.

Robo called twice in 4 hours same thing about IRS lawsuit.  Hope the calls don't continue.

Received two calls to my home number that a lawsuit was being filed against me by the IRS. I returned the call. I was told by people with foreign accents that I had defrauded the IRS during specific tax years a specific amount and that a lein would be placed on my bank accounts and personal property if I didn't pay. Also that an arrest warrant would be filed in my name.

John Ryan called me telling me that I owed the IRS and he needed my attorney to call him right away. After he explained to me what it was regarding I stayed quiet for a few seconds and he hung up.

360-637-4976 Called me, said they have a law suit against me, I called them back, the guy said his name was Wilson James. I kept asking questions, (So you work for the IRS? Where do you live? What state are you calling me? So I owe the IRS money? etc.) He kept hanging up on me, and I kept calling back. Finally another guy picked up, after all my harassing  he admitted that it was a scam and that he's from Pakistan. He said that if I send him $1,000,000.00 he would stop calling me. I said to keep calling me, the more he's calling me, the less chance of someone else getting scammed. DO NOT FALL FOR ANY OF THESE JACK [***]!!!!

Call received on my home phone and left a message that IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and to contact this phone number to discuss further details.

I just had a coworker come to me, terrified, because of a phone call to her work by someone posing as an "IRS Lawyer". They claimed they had 4 criminal charges against her, and would arrest her if she didn't come to them in 1 hour or pay up with $6,000. They called from this number. What was really frightening to me is that they had her complete social security number. WATCH THESE CALLS! THEY COULD BE USING WITH STOLEN IDENTITY DATA!

Received call from this number claiming to be IRS. The caller was an automated system. It stated I owe the IRS a large sum of money (which I don't) and must call them back at (360) 637-4976. The caller id showed Aberdeen, WA. This is clearly a scam. I did not call back, and will not.

Just received a message, stated they were calling from the IRS and I was being sued. Did not and will not call back... SCAM! call came from 360 637-4976.... people do not fall for it!

received a phone call saying they are audit from IRS and a lawsuit was filed against me and I will be arrested within the next hour. Heavy accent from India. When I asked if he works directly for IRS he started shouting and saying I ll be arrested within an hour and hung up.

They use an automated voice, because the cannot speak clearly enough or because they want to stay anonymous on something recorded,

Wow, that was the most obvious scam call I've ever received. Awful computer generated voice, didn't even use complete sentences. They said the IRS has been trying to reach me about a lawsuit... I'm pretty sure the IRS would know how to find me if they wanted to.
