Just received a call from this automated service and its regarding a credit card service to lower your interest rate.  I hung up before it finished...

This is a 3rd party telemarketing company trying to "qualify you" for lower credit card rates. It seems like it's proactive Debt Counseling or something of that nature. I actually answered and played along and the guy was rude and refused to divulge any company info so it was obviously a scam!

It is a scam. They called my 8 year old's cell phone claiming to need to speak with him about his credit card and lower the interest rate. All they wanted was a credit card number.

Yea, I picked up and they didn't say anything but they called again later and left a message... They just called this morning and I just hung up on them.

This is the third call I received on my cell. Last time I told the jerk I was on the National Don't Call Registry. He hung up. I filed a complaint this morning. I encourage you to file complaints also. Here is the link:

just got a call...then i googled the area code to find this message board. Amazing how people think alike nowadays =). Got no reply when i answered. Figured it must be some type of credit scam thing as usual.

I've received four calls from them.  The first time I asked them which credit card they were referring to as I was already locked in at the time at 0%.  They hung up.  So I was suspicious from that first call.  So the next time they called I tried to ask for more information.  They hung up.  The third time I asked for the name of their company and they gave me some generic name like Credit Card Services (don't remember exactly).  I asked for the name of her supervisor and she said she didn't know.  I asked what kind of a sham company did she work for that she didn't know the name of her supervisor.  She gave me a first name but said she didn't know his last name.  As I continued to probe for info she ultimately hung up.  Then I just received another call from them today (all in less than a year).  I would like them to stop calling me or ANYONE.  I'm really concerned that someone will actually fall for their scam (whatever it is).  I'm also concerned at how frequently they call the same number.  Beware!

I tried to call back and wells fargo answered with consumer credit services, i do not have a wells fargo account.

I received a call, did not answer, because this website is so great it gave me the right premonition not to answer calls from phony, unfamiliar numbers. This website is so great, and everyone who cares to share their experiences. Thanks to everyone.

The first time they called I hng up. I went on a hike and when I hot back I noticed they called 6 more times. be careful people

I'm sorry.  I'll have my grandma stop calling everybody.  She's a little crazy these days.

Child molesters trying to get my CC info. Added the number to my BB software's Block List.  I don't even know they're calling anymore.
