my boyfriend answered this call from Active Periodic, stating he won a 1000.00 gift card for online purchases, asked for his name and address and a credit card, he said he didn't have a credit card and they said he will recieve the gift card in the mail.

I ju rec'd the same call I'm worried......let me know if any thing happens please.

Gotten two of these exact phone calls today, and the voicemail is just 5 seconds of hold music.

- have received a call from a strange number(this one today) everyday. But the number is different every day, but the message they leave is the same.... Just a couple seconds of hold music. I called them all back and just got the voice mail saying it was full and could not leave a message.

I got several of these calls yesterday and one (so far) today. Same thing -- music played to answering machine, something about a $1000 online shopping spree when I answered. Told the person never to call me again and reported them to the FTC, since my number is on the National Do Not Call List. The full name of the company is Active Periodicals. If you google it you'll see that they are scam artists with a variety of types of scams. Do not provide them (or any company that calls you out of the blue) with a credit card number or any other personal information!

PS: the list of call types should include "Scam"

Got 4 of these calls in the last 4 days, all from different numbers, all musak left on voice mail.  The four numbers are:

605-269-0318
802-277-3183

Called today at 9:24 AM - left musak on the recorder.  Number appeared as "360-967-4286".  Being on a "Do Not Call" list doesn't stop these telemarketing pests!

Thos number keeps calling and it's annoying.

got the same call they took a while to pick up then they were breaking up so i hung up and called back all i got was a recording saying the box was full

caller said i had won $1000 online shopping spree if I would answer 4 questions.. which include my year of birth, my job type, do i prefer mastercard, visa , or discover and i can not remember the the 4th question. but as soon as i answered the last question the guy hung up... I tried to call back but of course the number had a mail box that was full... I immediately alerted my bank just in case this is some kind of fraud..The caller asked for me by name which means they already have some of my information.

I keep getting phone calls from this company at least twice a day.  Sometimes it's just a hang up.  Sometimes someone says hello and then hangs up and sometimes there is music playing and then a hang up.

Okay, so like I'm trying to save the galaxy. But I can't do it with all these bloody calls!

I called and told them I was FBI.

Ha.

This number calls me 5 + times a day and it's annoying.  I will call my provider and have them research.  I just plays music.

Google Voice reports the number is from Castle Rock WA.  They made it through the GV call screener somehow even though no name was given but it only rang once.

It's a scam....

these calls are a pain, and when call back, no answer, isnt there something we all can do, tired of this mess

got a call from the 360-967-4286 and said my daughter had won $1000 shopping spree and left a number to call back to 954-828-0626 and ask for Nick
