Stated final notice from IRS concerning a lawsuit against us

Claimed to be IRS, hung up when I asked to speak to a supervisor.

This is a scam!  Don't be deceived. They prey on innocent people who believe in what people say. I spoke with them and they use scare tactics to get your information. I did not fall for it because I KNOW that I don't owe the IRS any money. When I told them I would report them to the police, they hung up. I called the FBI local offices and reported it. They told me this happens very often and all one cam really do is post things like this online to warn people. They say the perpetrators' offices are usually overseas and it is just too much for them to follow every lead. Please pay attention and do not become their next victim.

Didn't answer when # came up on caller ID because we didn't recognize it. Left message like others here have had -- final notice from IRS, IRS going to file suit, must call the #. Of course, we didn't call ... we know better.

(Ironically, we just sent our quarterly estimated tax payments in yesterday to the IRS and to MO.)

This was the call word for word. I never received a notice prior to this "so called" final notice. Beware it sounds convincing.

Call claiming to be IRS. Scam. Says there is a lawsuit against me. The IRS does not have lawsuits, they file liens against people. Do not bother calling back, just block or ignore them.

They just called with the same words filing a lawsuit against us.  I wondered for what???? Glad I went online to check this number out now knowing it's a scam.  Will be blocking this number for sure.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I received a call on 9/15/15 from 360 967 4314 at 1:45:pm.  An automated voice stated this was my final notice that the IRS was filling a lawsuit against me and to call the 360 967 4314 to discuss it.  I want to report this apparent fraud.

They called us just like listed above, word for word. Total scam. They hung up when I asked for a badge number. Foreign accent gave it away. Do not be fooled.

A recording that said I needed to call 360-967-4314 I was named in a IRS lawsuit.  on caller ID said Castle Rock WA

I just got home from work tired & hungry.  There was a new message in my answering machine.  It says "last and final notice" call 360-967-4314.  The message really sounds genuine and legitimate i.e. a woman's voice which we phone users hear all the time.  Not checking my callers ID I called the number and a guy answered  that he is an agent of IRS telling me that I owe $1,600.00 for erroneous tax returns from 2008 to 2013.   He told me further that I have two options either to settle out of court or get a lawyer and time is running out.  I asked his name and he gave me a fictitious name "David Chomas?"  Told me further that if I settle out of court pay to the IRS with this address "915 2nd Ave. Washington P.O. Box 98174. Is there such an address?  I dig more information from him asking me why can't the office (IRS) send me a copy of the lawsuit against me.  He couldn't satisfy my questions and he hung up.  My advice to all don't answer this number.  They are scams.

I received the same call today word for word from this number.  I happened to be home sick and wasn't thinking clearly.  It did sound very legitimate and the woman said I had to stay on the phone and not hang up and go to the bank and pay them today or they would issue an arrest warrant.  She provided me a badge number and said the call was being recorded and read off "four counts" against me.  I am on a payment plan with the IRS so I was concerned and she had me going for awhile.  I drove to the police station and reported it and they told me it's very believable and if they call again tell them the police are informed and they won't call again.  Well they called again and I answered and told them and they hung up as I was telling them now THEY are the ones who will be getting an arrest warrant!  I called back and a middle eastern accented male answered the phone with "f--k you you mother f-----r!  I swear to God he said that to me and hung up!  I was fuming my time was wasted on these scumbags.  I hope they burn in hell for what they are attempting to do to people.

Contact the postal inspectors at your local post office. That constitutes mail fraud and they might be able to track the scammer down that way.
