Calls & asks for Linda. Says my PC is being hacked. Tell them I'm not Linda. They hang up. Numerous calls. I think they r fishing fir info either trying to scan or identity theft.

My brother got the same call asking for proof of residence as well. How they managed to source his cell # and not mine is beyond me. Fortunately, my brother is not that gullible and I've taught him well to not give out any information. They were very good at pressuring him, using a fast-talking method that would leave many stupefied to even stop and think that what was going on was a scam.

They claimed to be from my ISP's tech and were under the suspicion that my home computer was being hacked. They were told that we only own Macs and they transferred my brother to another extension were they wanted to remote access our home computer.

Were denied permission and told they would call again later.

Called me and hung up.

Got a call from this number......a dude with East Asian accent wanted info about my computer.  I put him on for a few seconds and he hung up.

Received a call from this number at 3:20PM (EST), Dec 09, 2014.  No one talked, they just hung up.

Recieved call from this number at 3:45 PM EST, 12/9/2014. Went to answering machine, no message left.

They called and when I answered they hung up on me.

I got the same call as everyone else, told this piece of [***] to go [***] off!!!

Scam caller.  Called telling me he was from technical support.  I threatened to report him and he became abrasive and started yelling at me telling me I'm a scammer.  Hung up on him.

They called at 8:03 they hung up one me as well...

Received same tech scam. Told them to eat me

Called me about an hour ago telling me my PC was hacked (after calling me on my cell yesterday).  I told them they were scammers and they cursed me out and hung up on me (it was someone with an Indian accent).  I have no idea how they got my cell phone and home phone #.  I hope I never find out what company sold my info to them.

Received phone call late evening from someone who said he worked for a computer security company. . . . that my computer had been hacked and it would slowly cease to function.  He had a very thick eastern Indian accent.  I could barely understand him, but I told him I had good virus protection and that my computer was frequently monitored by my own computer tech.  He continued to be very insistent that my computer was going to have problems.  Then I asked him what company he was with.  When I could not understand him I told him so and he put someone else who was supposedly his supervisor on the line.  The so called supervisor started giving me the hard sell, I told him I wanted nothing he had to offer and then hung up.  He Called Back!!  This time on an 800 number 1-800 942 1970.  This time I let my husband answer.  The man told my husband he was glad he answered the phone because I had hung up on him.  My husband told him he was treading on very thin ice.  When the man started his sales pitch, my husband told him we were not interested in anything he had to sell, told him to have a nice evening, then hung up.  We had no further calls.

12/10/2014 - Received call from this number.  Did not answer the phone.

Called and left a message on my phone, and they just said Hello?? Hello?? then hung up.
