Left no message, another scammer

I got one today also. Where is call coming from?

Called and said I have a problem with my computer and they want me to log onto the computer so they can fix it.  So kind of them!!

Called; left no message.  Research for Area Code 381 led me to this site.

Just got a call from this number, but they did not leave a message.  Been getting lots of unknown numbers calling cell and landline.  I don't answer calls from unknown numbers.

Same as other posters here, the caller had a heavy foreign accent and said my computer had problems. Would not stop talking, I told him I was going to hang up and still kept on talking.
The only difference in my case, he stated that he was calling on behalf of Microsoft.
Of course, I did hang up.

Obviously a spoofed number so don't bother calling back; same scamming "company" has been calling my house repeatedly since yesterday. The first time they called (with the number 381-279-4953) they got ahold of my father. He asked me to google their company name (something like "Totally Offline"?) after they suggested that we had a problem with our computer that they needed to fix. I'm pretty familiar with this type of scam so I told him to hung up, but they called back immediately (with the number 777-345-4277) and called once again today (with the number 333-725-2849). A word of advice: if an unknown number calls you and insists that you have a computer virus and requests a payment for them to remove it, HANG UP. Do not share your credit card information and ESPECIALLY do not send any money transfers!!!
