- JackGoverned by the Mastroianni family, over the past 10 years, ONLY 6.3% of the money raised has been spent on direct financial assistance to those in need. That's pretty sad. There are many other foundations and charities that you can contribute to, that will be more beneficial to the victims and not those soliciting.

- FitzWow. One of the worst. Here's all you need to know about UBCF:

- Call type: Non-profit organization
- AUDRAThey want you to contribute "for breast cancer." other sites say this is a bogus charity. What we know for sure is they keep calling back--even if you never pick up. They call day & night. Reported to do not call, blocked caller, still getting these calls. Very annoying.

- tina8525| 2 repliesI continued to get calls from this number after researching it here on 800notes so finally I answered out of curiosity. I am quite sure it was a computer I was talking to and not a real human being. It was good, but not quite good enough. It asked for my husband with its cheery feminine voice and I answered "yes." It was able to discern the higher pitch of my voice and said, "That's okay (or something like that) I can talk to either of you. Trying to get in touch with you is harder than getting my kids to clean their rooms." And then it launched into it's pitch and said something about an envelope being sent to me, like I had already agreed to that. I asked where it was calling from and it took awhile, perhaps ten seconds or so, a bit longer than for a human being, for it to stop the pitch and answer my question. It told me where the charity was located, which isn't necessarily the same thing as where the call was coming from. Then I asked to be put on the Do Not Call List and it said it would do that. I don't give to charities without checking them out first and even then I would give directly, if I decided to do it, so that fundraisers don't get a cut. After reading the comments here it would seem that this is not a good one to give to. Also, I really dislike it when companies try to pass off a machine caller as a human being.

- Heinz57 replies to tina8525| 1 replyIt won't put you on a do not call list. Do not answer unknown calls and do not call them back. Consider getting a call blocking device (or app for your cell phone)-they're available online and start around $45. https://800notes.com/nb/search?q=call+blockers
Also read Jack's post above. - DavidW9819SOB's from United Breast Cancer Foundation. They have also called me recently from 385-210-1946, which I blocked prior to receiving a call from this number. UBCF is ranked as one of the 50 worst charities in the US, and with less than $1 million spent on direct cash aid in 2012, it's easy to see why. Compare that figure with over $7 million paid to solicitors and almost $6 million paid to the charity (United Breast Cancer Foundation) in 2012, and it's a cinch they aren't getting one thin dime from me! Someone needs to pull the plug on these SOB's--how about sicking the IRS on them?

- LindaThis number calls daily. We have ignored it as we have caller ID. I recently answered and demanded they stop calling. There was no one on the line when I picked it up. They continue to call daily.

- AndrewConcur. Our caller ID says "UNITED BREAST C." Our number is unpublished and private; we have no idea how these guys got it, but they call for several days in a row every couple of months. We have also reported them to the FTC Do Not Call registry -- that has not helped. There must be some way to avoid these calls. If it requires putting the so-called "charity" under scrutiny, then so much the better. We have had breast cancer in our family, and we know what it costs--in money, time, sanity, etc. It is unconscionable for this organization to take advantage, to abuse, and to harass--all by syphoning off sympathy for people who really are suffering.

- Paulo replies to Heinz57Probably good advice for personal issues, but wouldn't it be a public service if we could get the FTC or the IRS to investigate the source and shut down this bogus charity? Does anyone know how to get that done? Instead of just griping (and I admit I have griped about this caller a lot myself), let's find out what we can do to solve the underlying problem. Anybody have an idea about how to do that?
- Jenny"United Breast C" has called me daily for weeks, and I have never answered. Tonight I was fed up, so picked up the phone. A woman said "Jenny?" I said "yes" and she laughed and said I was harder to get ahold of than it was to get her kids to clean their room. Reading the above comments, I can see that this is a common line. Then she launched into her spiel about being "Marie from the fundraising department of United Breast Cancer Research." I interrupted and said that I would never donate to a charity that cold called me on the phone. She just kept talking. I hung up. I'm sure they will keep calling, because they are that stupid and inconsiderate. I will go back to not answering.

- VReceived a call from this number at my boss's direct line. After identifying myself, there was silence, then the line disconnected after a few seconds.
- tired of thisI have received many calls--always starts with "you are harder to get a hold of than trying to get my teenage daughter to clean her room." I'm not hard to get a hold of, so that's a dead giveaway. The last call started with "You are harder to get a hold of than it is to get my grandson's hand out of the cookie jar." Usually I just hang up. Once I listened for a bit. She gave me her breast cancer pitch. I interrupted and said that I don't have any money to spare. She said "okay, but may I ask you one question?" And then she went on with "did you know that ____ people die every year from breast cancer?" It wasn't a question. So I hung up.

- DebD replies to JennI get calls daily at work from several #'s all linked to the United Breast Cancer - so annoying - also 385-210-1946. I get them home too, but my caller ID identifies them so I don't answer - there are many worthy charities to donate to - this isn't one of them.
- jess replies to Jennit is united breast cancer -- they want you to send them money, but they won't be passing it on to anybody who needs it for treatment, research or anything else.
