Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

This number has called at least three times saying that the treasury depth was after us.  I didnt pay any attention to it.

Funny they call with the 385# but the return call is 240-650-8433.

Yep, I got one also.  Looks like a new scam, not much on the web about this number.

I received a call from this number, A recorded message claimed the legal dept, of the U.S. Treasury had begun an action against me and gave me 24 hours to respond. Pretty fishy. I did not respond.

I looked up previous comments and disregarded this call. They said my attorney had 24 hours to respond, or I would have my wages garnisheed. What wages? I'm retired.

Message on my voice mail from caller ID 385-555-0143 said the same thing - 24 hours for my attorney to respond or wages would be garnished.  The call back number was 240-244-0398.  I did not return the call.

Two calls from an automated voice that starts speaking BEFORE you pick up the phone so you don't get the whole message. just the part about your attorney will have twenty-four hours to respond. Did last call return and got 385-555-0143 but caller ID says 250-050-8433. Watch out I think it's a scam

Received the following on my landline phone:  "This confidential message is from the legal affairs department. You asked me to inform you about the law enforcement action started on your name and age statement against this claim which could result in garnishment or civil judgment. You must call 240-244-0398. I repeat it's 240-244-0398. You or your retained attorney will have 24 hours to oppose this matter."

Computer voice saying some kind of civil action- lawyer has 24 hrs to respond. If you call the number given you get a busy signal. If you call the number it calls from you also get a busy signal. What's the point? What are they getting from me if its a scam?

I was left a message on a Friday 9/19 at 1:10 threatening me telling me I was involved in a Judicial Case, and they were calling so I could get  good Lawyer.

Got a recording purporting to be from US attorney threatening legal action and foreclosure.  I don't think the US attorney communicates via recording

Recieved a call from this # stating that they were calling from microsoft technical support and that some malicious spyware was downloaded on my computer and was trying to get me to go to my computer and do something (probably download some type of hacking software). Anyway, I was not near my computer at the time. I refused and began to question their validity. He stated that he would call me back in a couple hours when I would be near my computer, only to call right back without realizing with the same storyline. When he realized that he had called the same person back he hung up. I tried to call the # back and a general operator recording stating that "Your call could not be completed as dialed. Please check the # and dial again." Please beware of this! Seems as though they have moved from the U.S. Attorney legal action scam to now Microsoft technical support scam!

I got the call stating they were from the Treasury Department and that ignoring the phone call would call for a case of fraud. The obviously a robot voice even gave a badge number in the threat. I worked for the IRS for a number of years so I knew immediately this was a scam. The IRS never uses an automated system to contact anyone for reasons of the privacy laws. They always contact you by mail. Also, if they were going to bring you in on fraud charge the first you would hear of it would be when the subpoena arrived.

Caller ID came up as 385-555-0143.  Message said it was an attempt to avoid an invoice action executed by the US Treasury for tax fraud against my name.  Threatened court and possibly prison for federal crime if I don't call back.  Said to call 760-284-3372,  Women's voice on recording.

asked if I owned this tn & said yes and they verified my name. claims to be from Dell Tech. support and wanted to do a system check when I asked what was wrong. strong Asian accent. may call  back on Monday after5pm. will report this to dell tech rep.

Just received a call telling me that they received a signal from my computer of trouble, I asked who called them and they said I did. I informed them that they are calling a place of business and he hung up. When I tried to call the number back it was no longer in service.
