This number called my work cell phone and when I answered, (3rd ring) an automated voice just said "Goodbye". wierd.

Just as poster2 stated. "Goodbye".

This is a solicitation

I received a recorded message from this number that while on the internet I had indicated I was looking for a job - which is not true.  Curious, I pressed the "1" as instructed and Joseph came on.  I asked him why I was called and he went into his speech about me doing this on line. I told him no that's wrong. Then he wanted to "verify" my information so he could confim I was eligible for the program, services, etc.  I asked again how they got my number as I had not been on any website and most definitely am not looking for a job. He was polite and said he was sorry they couldn't help me - wished me luck and hung up.

Same as above nothing then a beep and goodbye.

Male caller told me that I filled out an online survey at a Walmart and was looking for employment.  Wanted to go fishing about personal information.  I told him I didn't fill anything out.  Was persistent and insisting that I did (note to telemarketers and fraudsters who do that - don't argue with your mark, we don't like that).  I told the man to remove my number from his list.  He launched into a script and then I hung up.  The number is from Daytona Beach, FL, so it's most likely a fraud or scam you into providing your identity.
